The Last Thoughts on elections.
Waffenmeister
Dear America hello, you may not know me, but I know you! So I hope we will become friends in coming days. So at first I would like to introduce myself - what can I say about me. I come from the great Northern Lands of Latvia, where we battle against the savage Nordlings of Estonia or Sweden and keep peace in the neighboring lands of Lithuania, but enough about my past, its time to look towards the future, towards tomorrow elections that will decide the fate of USA in coming weeks. But will it?
You see, dear America, I've been thinking quite a bit lately about something we can all relate to, something that is unquestionably, painfully obvious. That the economy is dead. To be honest - It has never been a live one , but there were times when you could see it kicking and struggling. Can a president heal something that is terminally ill? No! Only Plato can do it, so for now we will be left with an festering carcass of a dead horse that is occasionally being kicked by players who own q7 factories.
Why I am mentioning economy? You see,if you own anything less than q7 factory, there is no point in dreaming about becoming a capitalist with world enterprise that this game slogans advertised, and I dont think even players with q7 factories earn much. I believe that if you are a young player, economical decision preferences of the next president are out of the window.
But what about welfare programs and blood, destruction and carnage of the enemies?
Sure welfare programs can be put in place and wars declared, but either one of them can do that and they probably will do that. So I advise for free thinking outside the party rhetoric's and ask the only question in these elections that you should ask yourself - will community improve if we elect one or another? I am not here to answer that question for you, you should be the one who answers it tomorrow. Personally I have decided the only question is, have you?
After Word
Okay. I got this off my chest. At first I wanted to write about some candidates but then decided against it, mostly because I wasn't that familiar with past work, and to me, most offered similar policies. I am sorry that you needed to listen to my mad ravings about things that I dont fully understand. But in any case moving on!
Why should you join the SFP?
If you are a player like me, who doesnt have that highest strength in low division placement , and if you ask yourself what to do here in erepublic besides login in and clicking some buttons. Well there is a community! And I am not talking about the one in the feed, I am talking about SFP community!
Granted it is not the biggest community, but does it matter when community in question is vibrant and friendly? Because what erepublic is besides interactive forum? Not much , so join in , have a talk, get a free house and a fat paycheck and tune in to listen what Franklin Stone offers in his thread.
Join the SFP today and bring change in USA in form of FUN today!

Chess Tournament
As I said before , erepublic military model is not fun at least not for me, so because of that I am organizing a Chess Tournament, that at least has better combat mechanics. Why should you even consider this? Well lets look at facts, community interactions is what keeps this boat afloat. So why not engage in more direct activities? Why not Chess ? Sign today for the tournament! See the details here:

There will be probably prizes in form of gold, I just need at first see how much people will be willing to join.
And there is still contest to win those 10 gold pieces, so be creative and think

The last word
This is totally out of the erepublik boundaries but still, I would like to say something.
From time to time people have wondered why reading is important. There seems so many other things to do with one's time especially in Summer. But reading is important for a variety of reasons. One of them is, it opens our imaginations and galvanizes us to dream about the future and reminiscence about the past. And that is an important aspect of human species, to imagine.
So shout out in a comment - what people should read, but let it be something unheard of, something exciting or thought provoking. I would really like to hear what people should read.
So happy birthday America, may you always be that shining beacon in the dark.
Signing out yours truly

First of all; Nice writing! This party seems to attract one sweet phoneticist after the next. That's why it's been my muse.
I've never been into chess. You might have my match, but I'll play. It's not like there's a political module, left.

Damn man... awesome stuff. I sure hope you plan to write more, Comrade.
Awesome work Waffen
Well done keep writing!!!
Love your Last Word! For something fun and imaginative, try Terry Pratchett's Discworld series.
Some of those have been Prometheus Award nominees. "Night Watch" won the Prometheus Award for 2003. http://lfs.org/awards.shtml
I've actually enjoyed the Tiffany Aching adventures.
Nice job man glad to have you aboard

Yay to Poker Night!
Reading is so interesting, however sometimes I forget to do that (except for newspapers and blogs).
Yesterday I was cleaning the house and I found many books that will be read soon. That will be less time for eRepublik and so, but it will be well used time.

I'm into Political Science Fiction and Fantasy myself. Any Prometheus Award recipient is good to provoke thought. http://lfs.org/awards.shtml

I cannot view the details w/o a forum account.
Then you probably need to register to forum
I am sure we can work something out for you Kara Beth, if you don't wish to join the Forum; but I for one would love to see you there.
