Not really but I write this today to bring your attention to a new epidemic hitting our local streets. Please join me on my quest for the truth.
For those of you who are out of the loop "The Lana" is the newest drug to hit the streets, although being over a month old now. For us old timers it's the equivalent of Training Wars three times a week. Basically "The Lana" from now on referred to as TL is an enhancer drug, causing the user to become stronger through training.



Think of TL as steroids in baseball. While it may be improving the game it is ruining the true talent of it. It used to mean something to have 15+ strength because it meant that you had been around a while and were dedicated, just as the 500 home run club used to mean something. Now that is tarnished as people that are still relatively new to this game can spend RL money and get up there in strength with people who have been around for months.

I interviewed some convicted TL users to find the truth about their thoughts on the drug. I will leave their names out of this interview to respect their privacy and give that "mysterious drug user" feeling.
The first person I interviewed is a respected military and party leader. We will call this person Journey.



DC: Are you using "The Lana?"
Journey: yes

DC: Would you say you are addicted to "The Lana" (from now on referred to as TL)?
Journey: no

DC: How much Gold are you saying you have spent on TL so far (Just a ballpark answer will work)?
Journey: over 20

DC: Do you believe that TL is helpful or hurtful?
Journey: I don't know, it seems kind of one sided to me. Newer players can't really use it unless they're willing to put their own money into the game, which is probably what the developers are going for, which makes seem unfair and lopsided. But on the same token, those willing to pay gold for training can have an edge in battles in the future.

DC: Do you know what other names it goes by on the streets?
Journey: lol, no

DC: Do you use TL in groups?
Journey: Depends on my mood

DC: Thank you for your time.

My next interview is a former Congressman and has publicly confessed to using TL. We will refer to this citizen as Bon Jovi.

DC: Are you using "The Lana?"
Bon Jovi: Of course.

DC: Would you say you are addicted to "The Lana" (from now on referred to as TL)?
Bon Jovi: I certainly could be.

DC: How much Gold are you saying you have spent on TL so far (Just a ballpark answer will work)?
Bon Jovi: lol, I haven't kept track.

DC: Do you believe that TL is helpful or hurtful?
Bon Jovi: It is a helpful substance. It can mess with your mind and make you feel as though you are stronger than you really are and can do anything.

DC: Do you know what other names it goes by on the streets?
Bon Jovi: The stuff, gold digger, and performance herbal substitutes.

DC: Do you use TL in groups?
Bon Jovi: Always, it's more fun that way!

DC: Thank you for your time.
Bon Jovi: You're welcome.

My last interview is a former party president and owner of assorted other titles and currently in the Executive Branch under President Jewitt.

DC: Are you using "The Lana?"
FG: more like she uses me

DC: Would you say you are addicted to "The Lana" (from now on referred to as TL)?
FG: not addicted. we have a love/hate thing going on. as in, she loves to take my gold and i hate not getting more for it.

DC: How much Gold are you saying you have spent on TL so far (Just a ballpark answer will work)?
(much commotion happened around this question and I was knocked unconscious for a bit and when I came around this was written on my notepad)
FG: 40 gold

DC: Do you believe that TL is helpful or hurtful?
FG: Hurtful. She doesn't really care about you, man. She doesn't care if you get stronger. She just wants your money. Considering who plays erepublik, i think it's unfair to have another woman leading these boys along. She should get naked for 5g. She should do something!

DC: Do you know what other names it goes by on the streets?
FG: (At this point the TL user said the following and then ran off)
It's like 'hey nerds, welcome to erep. here's yet another woman that will only deal with you if you have money and even after you pay her, she still won't give you what you want'

After being attacked one more time and having the little amount of USD I had on me taken I decided to no longer pursue this subject. I hope this has given you food for thought on TL. Please remember to never take TL and drive, you will be caught, and you will be used as wall fodder.
