The Journal – Perspective

THIS is me.

Dealing 100 hits on the battlefield with Q7 weaponry would see me inflict slightly over 100,000 influence. In a high priority battle during peak hours this would equate to roughly 35% - 40% of the necessary damage needed to win a Division I Battle Hero medal. Much to my delight that figure is far above the average of my peer group.

This is my peer group.

Boot Camp is a Government run Military Unit with the purpose of nurturing and training young Irish players. If everyone in Ireland’s Boot Camp (excluding myself along with officers Irasian and Rikian1776) were to hit 100 times with Q7’s in a battle they would inflict 928,200 worth of damage.

This is Bhane.

He is Ireland’s number one ranked player, respectfully. As of day 1,846 he had a strength of 30,542 and with it increasing by 91 points a day he is on par with his closest rivals. Bhane fights amongst the elites in the uncapped Division IV. 100 hits dealt with Q7's equipped would see him deal a colossal 3,146,700 amount of influence. Not enough to win a round in a Division IV fight mind you. Bhane is the equivalent of 3.1 Boot Camps.

This is The Irish Army.

They are the Government's fighting force serving to protect Ireland and her allies. If every recruit were to strike a battlefield with 100 hits supplied with Q7 weapons they could proudly inflict 57,098,850 amount of damage. Made up of Division II, III & IV soldiers this figure would be spread around the various mini-battles of a battlefield. The majority of it however would be dealt in Division IV.

This is Ireland.

On day 1,844 the total sum of influence from every citizen in this country amounted to 107,448,650. I equated to 0.0952% of this damage, Bhane 4.3% while the Irish Army 38.5%. For an indication on the breakdown of Irish damage you can check out this past article.

This is EDEN.

She was founded on the 26th of September 2009 and is the longest serving alliance in eRepublik. Ireland became a member on the 9th of March 2011 shortly before the Ukraine was added to the tree. On Day 1,844 the total influence inflicted by the alliance was 16,932,641,490. Ireland contributed just 0.634% to this figure.

While my high strength and low experience makes me big player on the Division I court, my damage is a mere iota of what is happening in the eWorld. If the battlefield wasn’t divided into experience capped sub-battles I imagine I would never be noticed in the war module. Purposely, like many other players, I neglect to gain experience points focusing solely on my strength growth but I wonder that by the time I reach Division IV what the average figure for a Campaign Hero will be? How much influence will Ireland be dealing then?
