Dear Citizens!
Everybody has to work so this is a major issue for everybody. But I noticed that especially new citizens have problems to find the best job for them. So I decided to write this small guide for you.
How to pick a job?
You can find job offers at the job market. There you can see the companies who offer jobs, the needed skill, the salary and the quality of the products.
When you look at the job market you will notice there are 3 different skills.

Which skill is the best?
There is no easy answer for that question. eAustria has a high grain region so there are always jobs for land skills. Everybody needs food and wars are only half as fun without guns and tickets so the manufacturing skill is useful as well. Houses, hospitals and defence systems are kinda special so don’t take this skill as your first skill.
What’s the best salary I can get?
The market dictates the prices so it’s hard to tell which job or skill gets paid the most. Keep an eye on the job market as you can quit your job every 3 days. If you think you find a better job try to message your employer and talk with him. Most likely he will raise you salary if you convince him that you’d earn more in an other company. But don not try that every day and do not blackmail your boss! You need him as much as he needs you. Also keep in mind that the market doesn’t differentiate between 3.01 and 3.99 while it does matter for the production!
Important:Every time you reach a new skill level (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …) you should check for new offers on the market. But again talk with your boss first to see if he would like to keep you!
What’s the quality about?
Quality determines how ‘good’ a product is. For example a Q1 gift gives +1 wellness while a Q3 gift gives +3 wellness and 1 Q3 grain is worth 3 Q1 grain!
But the most important thing for you is the drain of wellness. If you work at a Q1 company you lose 1 wellness every day when you click on work. If you work in a Q5 company you lose 5 wellness! Wellness is the most important thing in the game and it’s very hard and expensive to get it back. You can increase your wellness with food, gifts and houses but it’s better not to lose it at all.
So where should I work?
Try to get the best ratio of Salary per Quality. A Q2 job where you earn 10 ATS is better than a Q3 job where you earn 12 ATS? Why? Well right now the difference between Q1 food and Q2 food is 2,3 ATS! And 1 gift would cost you 3,5 ATS! Then you will notice another thing: the gain of wellness from food changes with your wellness. If you have 50 wellness a Q2 food gives you + 2 wellness. At 70 Wellness you only get 1,6 wellness!!
Why should I care for wellness?
Well first of all you can not or not as much fight with low wellness. Fighting is good because it increases your rank (= more damage) and gives you XP. Without fighting you get 3 XP (1 for working and 2 for training) a day. But with 80 wellness you can fight 5 times and thus gain 10 XP more per day!
The other thing is the productivity which also depends on your wellness. A worker with 50 wellness produces 25% less than a worker with 80 wellness. Now you might say ‘but that’s just good for my boss’. True. But higher productivity means cheaper production and thus cheaper goods. And guess who gets fired as soon as a worker with better wellness appears…
Conclusio?
Now you see you have to keep several aspects in mind. The salary alone must not be the only reason to take a job. Keep and eye on the wellness and communicate with your boss. Everybody here is a human player so the possibilities are endless!
Keep an eye on your wellness because it’s the most precious thing you have in the game.

Jeder Mensch muss arbeiten, das gilt auch für eRepublik. Aber ich habe festgestellt dass gerade neue Mitbürger hier große Probleme haben. Daher habe ich mich entschlossen diesen kleinen Leitfaden zu entwerfen.
Wie finde ich einen Job?
Jobangebote findet man auf dem Arbeitsmarkt. Dort sieht man dann die Unternehmen die Jobs anbieten, den benötigten Skill, das Gehalt und die Qualität der Produkte.

Welcher Skill ist der beste?
Auf diese Frage gibt es keine einfache Antwort. eÖsterreich hat eine Region mit hohem Getreidevorkommen und daher gibt es immer Jobangebote für den Land-Skill. Jeder Mensch muss essen und Kriege sind ohne Waffen und Tickets auch nur halb so lustig, weshalb auch der Manufacturing-Skill sehr begehrt ist. Häuser, Hospitale und Verteidigungsanlagen sind sehr speziell und daher rate ich davon ab, diesen Skill als erstes zu lernen.

Der Markt diktiert die Preise daher ist es sehr schwer zu sagen welcher Job oder welcher Skill am besten bezahlt wird. Behalte aber den Markt im Auge da du theoretisch alle drei Tage den Job wechseln kannst. Wenn du glaubst einen besseren job finden zu können rede doch erst mit deinem Arbeitgeber. Vermutlich wird er deinen Lohn erhöhen wenn du ihn davon überzeugen kannst dass du woanders besser bezahlt wirst. Aber mach das nicht gleich jeden Tag und versuche nicht deinen Chef zu erpressen! Denn du brauchst ihn genau so sehr wie er dich braucht. Bedenke auch dass der Markt keinen Unterschied zwischen Skill 3,01 und 3,99 macht, während das bei der Produktion sehr wohl einen Unterschied macht.
Wichtig: Jedes Mal wenn dein Skill um ein ganzen Level steigt (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …) soltlest du dich auf dem Markt umschauen weil du dann ja in ein ganz neues Level kommst. Aber auch hier sollte man zuerst mit seinem Chef sprechen und sehen ob er dich nicht halten möchte.
Was hat es mit der Qualität auf sich?
Die Qualität bestimmt wie ‚gut’ ein Produkt ist. So gibt z.B. ein Q1 Gift +1 Wellness während ein Q3 gift schon +3 gibt. Und 1 Q3 Getreide ist bei der Produktion von Nahrung so viel wert wie 3 Q1 Getreide!
Aber was für euch am wichtigsten ist wäre der Wellnessverlust. Wenn ihr in einer Q1 Firma arbeitet verliert ihre jeden Tag 1 Wellness wenn ihr auf ‚arbeiten’ klickt. Wenn ihr in einer Q5 Firma arbeitet verliert ihr also 5 Wellness! Die Wellness ist das wichtigste Gut im Spiel und es ist sehr schwer und teuer sie wiederzubekommen. Man kann die Wellness mit Nahrung, Gifts und Häusern wieder steigern, aber das Beste wäre natürlich sie erst gar nicht zu verlieren.
Wo sollte ich also arbeiten?
Versucht das beste Verhältnis von Gehalt zu Qualität zu bekommen. Ein Q2 Job bei dem man 10 ATS verdient ist besser als ein Q3 Job bei dem man 12 ATS verdient. Warum? Nun zurzeit beträgt die Differenz zwischen Q1 und Q2 Nahrung runde 2,3 ATS! Und 1 Geschenk würde sogar 2,3 ATS kosten! Wenn ihr euch das Tool anseht wird euch etwas auffallen: der Wellnessgewinn durch Nahrung ändert sich mit euerer Wellness. Wenn ihr 50 Wellness habt bringt euch eine Q2 Nahrung +2 Wellness. Bei 70 Wellness sind es nur noch +1,6 Wellness!!
Warum sollte mich meine Wellness kümmern?
Nun zunächst könnt ihr mit niedriger Wellness weniger oder vielleicht sogar überhaupt nicht kämpfen. Und kämpfen ist gut weil man dadurch seinen Rang steigern kann (= mehr Schaden) und auch XP bekommt. Ohne kämpfen bekommt ihr nur 3 XP pro tag (1 fürs Arbeiten und 2 fürs Trainieren). Aber mit 80 Wellness könnt ihr 5 Mal am Tag kämpfen und daher 10 XP mehr bekommen!
Die andere Sache ist die Produktivität. Ein Arbeiter mit 50 Wellness produziert um 25% weniger als ein Arbeiter mit 80 Wellness. Jetzt werdet ihr vielleicht sagen ‚aber das hilft ja nur meinem Chef’. Richtig. Aber hohe Produktivität ermöglicht eine billigere Produktion und dadurch auch billige Produkte. Und ratet mal wer gefeuert wird sobald ein Arbeiter mit besserer Wellness eingestellt wird…
Conclusio?
Ich hoffe ihr erkennt nun dass ihr verschiedene Aspekte berücksichtigen müsst. Das Gehalt alleine darf nicht der einzige Grund seinen einen Job anzunehmen. Behaltet eure Wellness ihm Auge und redet mit eurem Arbeitgeber. Jeder hier ist ein menschlicher Spieler und die Möglichkeiten sind schier endlos!
