The Irish future - We have three options.
Bad BIue Boys
Yesterday I wrote this dissapointing (for me personally and I guess for whole eIreland) article I named “The End of TWO - What it means for eIreland”. After writing it I’ve recieved very huge feedback from a lot of eIrish citizens. After all those comments and messages, I’ve concluded one thing. This is uniting eIreland.
I think eIreland has been sleeping (looking through global eyes) and spent all its power on infighting and trolling. Now, all this things I’ve mentioned in my last article about the New Alliance came like a huge slap to us. I think it woke up some of us. At least I hope so. The thing I’ve realised and the thing I hope others are or will realise is that we absolutely have to wake up. We have to start taking care of ourselves. We have to organise ourselves. I have several ideas how to do it. We urgently need forums and more activity on IRC. We could use a huge National convention too. So, the things I propose are:
1) Creating a national forum - It’s a place where we could start debates, talks, proposals, it’s a place foreign ambassadors could find out more about us and open their embassies, it’s a place which can be used for numerous things and the main strenghts are - Improved communication and increasing international influence (having embassies)
2) National Strike - Let’s say Sunday night? We haven’t had one for a long time and it would be pretty good to encourage people start using IRC more, that’s where diplomacy lives. That’s where you make friends and enemies, that’s where you improve your country’s influence in the world.
3) National convention - I’ll soon send an official invitation as Party President of Eire Aonair to all Party Presidents, to Government and all Military Unit leaders. We just have to meet and see what we plan, who are our friends and what should we do. Time and date are still to be decided, but the thing is - we have to decide what are we going to do together.
Now I’d like to try to explain you what possibilities we do have in future. I think there’s three of them, each one of those is possible. But not each one of those will be applied and accepted by Irish people. We’ll eventually have to pick one of those options:
1) Stay/become proCroatia, proSPoland, have NAP with UK, be without alliance, apply for membership in the new alliance
2) Found a third block with countries who are our friends.
3) “Move to the dark side”
Let me try to explain each of those
😁
1) STAY proNEW ALLIANCE.
We can stay with eCroata. They told us we won’t be able to become founding members of the new alliance they will found together with United Kingdom. It doesn’t mean we have to stop fighting for them, it doesn’t mean they will stop fighting for us. It just means they don’t want us as founding members. They would probably help us get in the alliance later. We could sign MPP with Spain and Poland and just be safe.
Let’s analyze our borders and possibilities if we pick this option:
-We wouldn’t have any enemy on our borders. Except maybe Canada who’d be enemy of this new alliance. Which would be shame for us.
-We be safe from everything. Except boredom.
-Our only way to have some fun except fighting through MPP’s for our allies would be to AS some country. AS’s doesn’t last for a long time though.
-It would be hard to expect we’ll ever join that alliance since UK will probably take their chance to block us. Also, that alliance is about to be only for low number of members. They won’t be accepting small countries. They’d “allow” us to be close to them.
-We’d have to turn against some of our former allies. Firstly Bulgaria.
My personal opinion:
This situation is for us very bad. It seems like we’re that unpopular kid who have to ask if he can hang out with more cool kids. We certainly didn’t deserved this status. That’s what bothers me. Also, we wouldn’t have our voice in the alliance, we’d hardly be accepted later (probably eventually we would, but that’s a long way).
2) FOUNDING A NEW (FRIENDLY) ALLIANCE
We can found a third block alliance with our good old friends. Such as Germany, France, Portugal, Asgard, Canada, maybe even USA, Chile, Brazil, Bulgaria. There’s numerous options and it all sounds interesting. A new alliance would be made of medium-level countries, almost all of them are long time friends with eachother. It would be mainly Northern Europe alliance, so geographical position on the map is pretty good for us.
Some facts considering new alliance:
-It would be the only alliance started by friends. That’d be our strenght
-We would certainly be the third side, even though we’d have more enemies with SPoland+UK since we border them. We’d be the real difference in the eWorld.
-It would be fun, since we’re all similar countries, we’d all be equal in this alliance
-We’d border UK (neutral/enemies), Canada (allies), USA (neutral/allies), we’d be near to Poland (neutral/enemies), Norway (allies), France (allies) - that would make the whole situation a lot more interested.
-It would be funny! We're long time friends, we share common goals, we have history.
My personal opinion:
So far I’m a fan of this option. It brings us the less risk then any of other options, it puts us back on the diplomacy map, we’d stay with our (real) friends and we’d fight our enemies. I can’t think of any downside except we’d maybe have to be in war with SPoland’s alliance, but since we’d be the third block, the other two blocks would probably compete for us, which would mean we wouldn’t really have to be afraid of what’s going to happen. The biggest reason I’m in favour of this option is because I’m romantic..I just like fighting for my friends, and most of this countries has always been my friends. In times like this, that’s the only interesting thing left here..
How would it look like?
Pretty good!
3) MOVING TO DARK SIDE
We can cross to the dark side, since one of our best allies in history - eCroatia is currently starting a friendship with the UK, I don’t think anyone would really have something against us if we do the same with their enemies. We’d find ourselves in an alliance with Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Argentina...etc. I think any of us can’t imagine ourselves there yet right? Ah well, game changes..
Analyze:
-We would be surrounded by enemies, we’d be easy target
-We’d fight for our former enemies, but most of them would give their best to help us
-If “our” side won’t be stronger that would mean our lands would be shared by those we’re border with (UK, maybe even USA)
My personal opinion:
This is the last solution I’d accept, if the second one becomes impossible and if the first one is irritating us too much. But we should keep it as an option. When we can get knife we should be able to give one in the back too, right? Anyway, whatever we choose it will be interesting.
Signed,
Don Croata

Good article mate, but imo opinion the eWorld will always be bi-polar so even if you were to found a new third alliance, you would be forced to align towards one side or the other which is more than likely either SPoland or Serbia and maybe Hungary depending on what Romania does. Anyways thats just my opinion.
That's right, we wouldn't fight both of the alliances, there will never be more then two sides.
It could be interesting to see a three way fight, but the way the military module is structured, I think there's no practical way for three major powers to exist.
We need a real war or training war..
or 2nd could be making ASGARD a serious and stronger alliance 🙂
would have to convince them they actually want us, first, they were pretty serious about the rejection when we applied to join
Asgard wants to stay only Scandinavian alliance I'd say.
vote to Ireland than ready to read!
Ok, evil eyes 😃
The second one is the tough one, yet I share your opinion, I like the idea of not turning against the old allies (Croatia, Albania, Bosnia...) even though they don't want us in their damagehood anymore.
I have nothing against eCroatia, but to be told we're not worthy of being in their sandbox while they invite the eUK to come play is a serious insult.
I have to agree.
It's like if we sign MPP and join alliance with Serbia and tell them we still wanna be their friends.
It's really no surprise.
Option two would be a mystery. I like it.
Voted.
sweet 😁
Miau :3
I don't think Ireland has been sleeping internationally.
We almost never have a direct battle.
Nearly every day in the past year all our dmg went to allies.
That's what alliances nee😛 free dmg
We weren't sleeping, but we weren't flash either.
I think your analysis is pretty good, Don. Out of the three options you put up, I'd lean toward the second also. Helping the eUK and ePoland, both of whom I consider to be nations of thugs, against friends such as eCanada isn't something I'd consider a good idea. The option of joining, again, with proven betrayers such as eArgentina isn't a good idea, either.
I have no problem with remaining independent, but I believe we need a way to raise our international profile. I don't have a major objection to forming a new alliance with existing friends, or something along the idea of an expanded and strengthened Asgard, but we need enough strong commitments to be able to pull something together.
What can be done to improve our diplomatic profile?
Argentina? no thanks
If you accept an opinion from an italian, I think the second option is the better.
Almost everyone in my country have openly sided pro-Spoland, but I don't agree if that means leave our actual allies.
I'd prefer continuing to be allied of our friends of Bulgaria, USA, Chile, Mexico, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia, and approach to other countries like Ireland and Asgaard countries.
But for us maybe is impossible make a different choice... we are in a border position between Serbia and Spain and for us is better that one of these will our ally. And we can't think to be ally of Serbia.
But I'd prefer not to have to find us against our friends... and if they form another alliance, I think their positions are most similiar to our, and we can cooperate.
I hope Ireland, Bulgaria and the other countries which you have considered in the second option will not decide to go on the Serbian's side.
Anyhow I'll never fight against my friends of Bulgaria neither against Ireland.
I hope to find you always on the same side of battlefield.
Good luck for the future, whatever option you will choose... and sorry for my bad english...

ireland is a coward country that did not even defend itself when british invaded last time.
Not only that....irish CPs Sweet Drinker and Ian E Coleman actively discouraged any ressistance and screaming Ireland will never ever defeat brits on battlefield.

1) Stay/become proCroatia, proSPoland, have NAP with UK, be without alliance, apply for membership in the new alliance
Respect to your way of playing this game.

I can't conceive of being in an alliance with either Argentina or UK. Serbia is also a no go for me, which leaves the options of remaining independent or joining an expanded Asgard/new smaller alliance. We've always had fairly good relations with Poland, so that should be a help to ward off the UK's belligerence.
Yea man same here, can't see myself fighting for Argentina or UK. If we get the same level in the alliance and the same respect I'd even make myself do it and cooperate, but since we won't even be founders and they will we'd have to beg them to get in, like literally. I don't wanna do that.
We shouldn't rush in a new alliance either, first we should talk and see who's even up for it and then see if it's good for us. If it isn't we have plenty of time, there's no real need to rush anywhere now.
You have to be more pragmatic when deciding what's best for the country. Flat out saying no to joining an alliance because you don't like a country in it is not a good way to conduct ourselves. What if the 'new smaller' alliance decides to be friendly with/invites a country we don't like? Being independent sucks ass and is partly the reason we are now on the outside looking in when it comes to international affairs.
If we are given the same level of respect and voice as any other member, we should not rule out joining any alliance. That would be my main criterion, followed by possibility for winnable and meaningful wars and amount of damage we could call on.
That's where this being a game can be handy. In real life, pragmatism is a necessary evil, as the results of not being so can be destructive. Here, we don't suffer the same physical effects, so we can be less pragmatic, though I fully accept your argument. As individuals, we can still join an alliance with Argentina in and fight against them by moving to other countries who are allied with their enemies. I still wouldn't like being in an alliance with a country I neither respect or trust.
Ofc it's difficult to co-operate with such a country, and hopefully we won't have to. But I certainly think we need to keep an open mind in our current position. We now owe no loyalty to any country, with the possible exception of Canada. That is one positive to take from this. We have the freedom to now choose our own path, whatever that may be, without having to justify ourselves to anyone.
There are a handful of nations that I neither trust or respect, but I do agree if the time comes, and its best for Ireland to ally ourselves to such a nation, then we must do what is needed.
That being said, we are among a list that shrinks every other month. A list of nations that hasn't betrayed our allies. We haven't been placed in a position where we've had to, but regardless we have one of the best reputations for loyalty and trust. The day we throw that away, even if its for the better in the long run, will be a sad day nonetheless.
What happened to putting our trust in the eUSA, since we sold our defense to them?
I don't think most of us gave the USA defensive argument much credence.
Credence or not, they now own our defense.
Paddy I know you're totally against the rental deal, but seriously it gets a bit old when every single one of your posts include it in some way.
we have far more important decisions to make in the next few months
