Join the new world

Part 1: Hey dude, give me back my e-life!

He woke up, his head feeling as if he had been asleep for several months.

What had happened? Had he really worked as a project manager and architect? Had he really gone to the library every night to study? Did he really had to party with a girl downtown to improve himself?

Even stranger, for the first time in his e-life he had felt real emotions... well at least ONE real emotion: happiness. Was it all gone? Had it even happened? He couldn't be sure.

One thing was real however: he was shivering all over his body, he really had to turn up the heat a bit in his comfy home. Now where did he put his central heating again?

Things got stranger by the secon😛 Where did he put his home again? What the...

He looked around, his home and everything he had kept inside it was gone! Who could've taken his home? He pinched himself: no more awakenings... this was all very real.

Then he realized of course: the government. Who else would take his home from him? The one thing he had worked for every single day in his e-life must've been repossessed by the government. The eUnited Netherlands government had traditionally been led by a bunch of socialist and capitalist pigs who would only take care of themselves: repossessing citizens' houses would just be one of the things that would've easily passed congress.

He vowed to do something about that, but first he needed to find his way around... now where is Plato when you really need him?

At least he was still living in the e-United Netherlands, his beloved eUNL. Surely he should have no problem to get up and started once again... first let's find some old friends.

Then something awful struck him, like a flash of lightning on a clear summer night...
