Really?
Recently the Admins of erepublik introduced a new rule stating that if a region is not connected to the Capital Region, its resources cannot be exploited. This all happens without any notice in an time of colonisation and great conflict. Thanks Admins!
Really they should remove this update as it was not thought through clearly and was copying same of the ideas of Civilzation. But since 90% of the time we are ignored I have another proposal.
If you are going to force us to connect regions with Capitals, please be realistic. I suggest with this update you introduce the following:
Freedom of Trade Movement Agreement (allows bordering countries that border regions unconnected to your capital to act as a connector to the Capital if they agree to it)
Real life Examples: EU, the Common Wealth etc... trade agreements.
Ability to Change the Capital Region (perhaps through the Construction of a Palace/Adminstrative building).
Real Life Examples: Russia changing its Capital from Saint Petersburg(Leningrad) to Moscow during the Russian Civil War of 1918 - 1922.
Ability to Build Airports (a region with an airport is connected with a region with another airport).
Real life examples: Berlin Airlift 1949
This allows the realistic aspect of colonisation and makes problems such as Trade and land passage more realistic.
If your not willing to add these with your region updates then it clearly shows that your just trying to find a way to make the game more expensive without any regards of the expense it took the country to get to a certain point...

Freedom of Trade Movement Agreement is a good idea, admins ought to think about it. it must be possible with a cost, tax etc.
Ability to Change the Capital Region, another good idea, this also applicable wtih a hish cost and time restrictions.
