The Gateway Drug [Political Edition]
Sean Power
A review of the work of TD's. The standard used to evaluate them is one of the lowest possible ....... a single post of substance over the full 4week term was sufficient. This doesn't include a signing in thread but only a vote by a post or an input in the public or private Dáil.
I hope that this will be a useful aid for the difficult decision that comes round this time of month.

How Sean Power (thats me!) voted in the Public Dáil this term:
Fee for citizenship vote - http://e-ireland.isgreat.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=77
My Vote : Níl / No (unfair, counter productive since we need citizen growth)
Outcome : Not approved
Minimum Wage Act - http://e-ireland.isgreat.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=115
An act to reduce the minimum wage from 3 to 2 IEP.
My vote : Níl / No (would hurt consumer purchases and unfair)
Outcome : Not approved
University Reform Act - http://e-ireland.isgreat.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=105
My vote : Níl / No (difficulty in administration of wage increase incentive)
Outcome : Approved
University Reform (Amendment) Act - http://e-ireland.isgreat.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=153
An Act to remove the wage increase incentive and replace it with one based on the return of the course fee for completion/passing.
My Vote: Tá / Yes (addressed my previous concerns)
Outcome : Approved
Method of the Congress Vote - http://e-ireland.isgreat.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=186
An Act to prevent anonomyous polling in Dáil votes.
My vote : Níl / No (unnecessary complication, option of public vote available already)
Outcome : Approved
Supreme Court Judge nomination of Uaithne
My vote: Tá /Yes (Trustworthy, intelligent and objective citizen)
Outcome : Pending
Raw Materials State Aid Act
An Act to outline and regulate a loans system to improve raw material availability.
My vote : Níl / No (no sufficient safeguard to ensure manufacturing market competition)
Outcome : Pending

"5n4keyes - couldn't find on old or new forum" Was away from what i remember.
"Severin - zero posts in Dáil" He is gone.
One post, I wonder how many more would be disqualified if the requirements were higher?
@ Teut : Sev had 2 weeks within which to contribute and didn't. He's gone but he can revive himself at will (or create a new one!)
5n4keyes - being away is hardly an excuse. There's a certain amount of responsibility that comes with being elected... not just the 5 gold 🙂
Also I couldn't find his name registered on the forum which I thought abit strange for a citizen elected as congressman.
IUP
Conor Forde - zero posts in Dáil
Conor is no longer a member of the iup party
corrected to show that gordon.... I'm going by who they were elected as but changed to show that specifically and that he's no longer a member)
Thanks Sean. Keep up the good work and good luck in the election.
Darragh I didn't want to set it at a reasonable level of participation but the abosolute bare minimum. It's a fright that some don't even live up to that... I'd encourage people to vote for active citizens who contribute to policy debates and discussions and vote.
ISRP did very well by having 50% of the active TDs under this evaluation
@ Gordon : Thanks! I'll need all the luck (and votes) I can get I'd say🙂
Excellent, concise information, Sean. Thxmuch for this.
Thx also for publishing your own record, and standing accountable to your constituents. I really appreciate the congressmen who have taken this step, and who are willing to stand behind their record. I hope it is a trend that will continue.
ISRP did very well by having 50% of the active TDs under this evaluation
Fair enough Sean but in the interest of fairness it must also be pointed out that all current IUP congressmen were active. The ISRP cant say the same thing.
Aren't we going away from partisanness gordon? The IUP and the ISRP both did well under this. Kudos to both!
I'm glad to see this; this kind of round-up is very much appreciated by and useful to voters. Good work Sean, and best of luck.
"Fair enough Sean but in the interest of fairness it must also be pointed out that all current IUP congressmen were active. The ISRP cant say the same thing. "
Not to start a party flame war (unless it's some kinda cool pyrotechnic show with bikini clad ladies involved!) but:
All current ISRP TDs passed the single post test 🙂
Your statement is mistaken as the IUP and ISRP each had a TD that left the Dáil midterm without passing this evaluation - Kiemar and Conor Forde. Both parties did well!
"some kinda cool pyrotechnic show with bikini clad ladies involved!"
*granted, rocker-style, for you*

Severin - zero posts in Dáil - yep, a corpse.
Franz Moehle - stood down and went to fight a cause abroad.
micutzu - now Saoirse
Lord Rhindon? - "£$%$^£^%&*%£&%"!"$!😁£^
On forums. A point to make. Not just congress but generally.
Check my posts on the last forum.
I had the highest number of any eIrish citizen.
Check my number on new forum. Doh!
Two reasons :
Very difficult to get into the new ones, and even when in had no permission to post for some time, now resolved.
Once in, it is like a morgue in there.
Kol spent a lot of time on it. The activity doesn't do it justice.
The 3 forum fiasco we have experienced in the last month is unprecedented. The unrelaibility and unavailability has been a holy disgrace. No wonder people have lost the will to engage, whether Dail or otherwise.
An interesting concept for an article and activity check.
A bad month to choose as an example.
BTW, press the link.
You'll like it.
G xx
Hopefully this should help encourage citizens to vote for candidates who will be active on the forums, filling the morgue with life and vitality!
There does seem to have been a drop off with the new forum which is a shame since it's by the prettiest forum I've ever seen!
It's @ http://ieforums.hobbittown.com/" target="_blank">http://ieforums.hobbittown.com/ for anyone who wants to join the party dancing with or on corpses! (It's how Sev would like to be remembered surely!)
"for anyone who wants to join the party dancing with or on corpses! (It's how Sev would like to be remembered surely!)"
The "party"?
Oh, so now you're recruiting for me, are you?
