The Game of Risk

Day 618, 19:00 Published in USA USA by Vincent Truglia

Have you ever played Risk?

Are you good at the game? Do you know how to win? Usually its all about Australia. Usually its all about patience. Its about letting your opponent run rampant on the board. You let them do their thing.
You let them try and hold Asia.

You let them think there winning,

You sit there quietly with a sullen look on your face.

Cursing the dice as you roll, fortify and collect a card. You wait until you have 5 cards and they have 1. Then you come out of your hole. You leave Singapore with a few men to guard your fortress and you head out. You cash in your cards and get more men. You attack. You take South America First. Easy to hold. Then again you wait. You let them try and hold Asia.

No one ever holds Asia.

You wait and hold South America and Australia. By this time theres only 3 people left. You wait, you wait, you wait. Damn. Patience. Relax. Now your opponent is getting ancy. He wants to end this. He goes crazy. He attacks and attacks and attacks. He's finally conquered Asia. He has North America. He has half of Europe. You have tons of troops with no land. He has LOTS of land with no troops.

Now the time has come.

You cash in your cards and attack. You knock over his one manned territories like bowling balls. Quickly ripping through Asia and leaving a strong fortification on all of your fronts. You have him right where you want him and the whole time he thought he was winning.
