The Future of the Coalition

Day 1,032, 12:34 Published in Switzerland USA by Penguin4512

Hey guys, here's an article about the coalition and how we should hope with a changing political environment. It's just a few thoughts.

After PP elections, we have several new parties. The Parti Suisse Romande has become the Switzerland Reform Alliance. Sminter's Party has become the Parti Activiste Romand. Lastly, omino went uncontested in the AEP and in an inspirational bout of creativity omino has named it: omino's party.

On the 15th, eSwiss from all parties scrambled to support a candidate. Their was a lot of initial panic at Mr. Flatroy's victory in the SFP because he is a former Shaolin, and therefore in the view of many people, a war criminal.

Flatroy is not a war criminal, nor does he mean to harm the SFP in any way. I myself have discovered this and I want to make it clear to people that the SFP has not been PTOd. The Shaolin Wars are over. It seems like too many people of the coalition are living in the past.

The initial reaction to Flatroy's victory is understandable, I made the same mistake. It's too easy to imagine that the Shaolin Monastery still has a desire to conquer eSwitzerland. But it's important to realize that these former Shaolins are now just as eSwiss as we are. In a time when we have a president from eGreece, and politicians from around the world, it's detrimental to retain our bias against citizens of Russian origin.

There is something even more critical that I have to speak of though, and this is that it seems like many of our politicians still believe that the war is still being fought. On the 15th, I heard the AEP and the SNP referred to as the "Shaolin parties."

We cannot simply consider any person who is not in the coalition to be a Shaolin, especially in a time period where the Shaolins are no longer a threat. We already refuse to let these people in to our government. I've talked with members of the SNP and the AEP and they do not wish to join our coalition because it seems like we only have one point of view, one primaries, one candidate...

Which brings me on to my next point, right after this short commercial break.

I'm just throwing the idea out here, but perhaps we could, in the month of September, not have a primaries?

The primaries go back a long time, but they were started for one purpose and one purpose only, to ensure that the eSwiss could have a chance of winning the presidential elections. This is because we faced a threat so huge, so massive, that we were willing to forsake a shard of individuality in order to increase the odds of the nation's continued survival.

This system no longer applies. eSwitzerland no longer faces an organized PTO threat. The coalition is only keeping the primaries to ensure that we remain in power, which is denying a large part of our population representation in the Federal Council.

In conclusion, the tide is falling, and we must evolve with the changes in the political atmosphere. The coalition must adopt a free party system, where parties can choose to run a candidate depending on their own personal decisions, and where more than one candidate can compete in the actual elections.
