Fellow Socialists,

As I retake my position as Party President, there are many problems we must solve and things we must do to regain our standing in eCanada. Here is what I will be doing.

Our party manifesto is essential to establishing we stand for and creating common purpose among us. It hasn’t been updated since we changed from a communist to a socialist ideology. Within the next few days I’ll post my ideas for updating the manifesto in the party forums, and look forward to reading your comments as well.

Self-sufficiency is very important to me when I consider the goals of the party, but because of recent changes to the New World economy, I will not be reopening the commune until I believe it has stabilized. I will continue to evaluate the economy on regular intervals, and will keep you updated through the party forum.

Membership in the party has stagnated in the past month, even decreasing at one point. I will put renewed emphasis on recruiting more Socialists through a variety of different methods.

Finally, the Congress elections will take place in a week, and we will be ready. I will be contacting other parties to gain spots for Socialists, and we will regain our voice in the political sphere.
