The first moments of V2

V2 has certainly done a number on our economy. The construction industry has been crippled by exorbitant raw-material formulas, the Ministry of Industries has shuttered several companies in an effort to pull its budget down from the stratosphere, titanium prices are low, and the gap between harvesting and other professions is big enough for Star Jones to fit in.

However, despair not. eCanada is actually fairing much better than the rest of the world - as a nation blessed with all the raw materials we can handle, we are bring a lot of gold into the economy via export sales via skyrocketing demand in the wake of the new raw-mat formulas. Additionally, my decision to remove the final two printings of 70,000 CAD has saved the country 700g (to be used on MPP's in the face of growing PENIX aggression) and has pushed the dollar up to the 0.030g to 0.031g range.

For those of you who don't play close attention to the Monetary Market, that means that since the last days of V1 the Canadian Dollar has actually risen in value, while almost all other nations have seen their currency plummet. This is a sign of our economic fortitude in not-so-fortuitous times.

The beginning of the war module is going to stir things up once again. Although our economy is certainly hurting, eCanada has handled and adapted to this adversity better than any other country, and we're that much more prepared for the war module because of it.

A sneak peak of a Q1 hospital

I appreciate all the PM's I've been receiving telling me get my arse in gear and place some Hospitals and Defense Systems. However, there is currently no button to place them, and as such I'm unable to do so. As soon as I'm able to, I'll begin placing these fortifications in at-risk border provinces after discussing the best possible coordinates for them with military leaders.

With Russia swigging vodka in Alaska and the Brits leering with crooked teeth across the Atlantic, eCanada finds itself in a precarious situation. As a country we've got a lot of "junk-in-a-da-trunk" so to speak, and we need to make strides to protecting that booty. I'll be using some of the gold I saved for V2 to sign new MPP's with countries we didn't have them with before. Expect to see a more explicitly defensive posture taken by the administration.

Stay strong everyone. V2 includes, like I predicted, a whole lot of stormy seas. However, we're weathering the storm well so far - hang in there.
