The First Step of a New Life
Yonai Keiko
On the 334th day of the New World, I was born. I was born here, in Gyeongsangnam-do, while it was still held by eJapan. Mere weeks after I was born a group of freedom fighters took on the task of liberating eSouth Korea. I soon found myself in a new nation. One that was constantly afraid of the many peoples who wished to do us harm. From our powerful neighbors to the scavenging PTOers, there was always something to fear. Seven months later, this still holds true. We have worked, and worked, and WORKED to make our home a better place. And we have certainly progressed quite far. However, there are many things in the eWorld that keeps us from fully flourishing. Many have tried to solve these problems, but all have failed. It appeared impossible to fix our bug-filled economy. To ward of all traces of the PTOers. To settle the conflicts with our neighbors. But we have found a way.
Alfagrem, our Minister of Finance, deserves much credit for helping to create and fund this solution. The government of eJapan, and particularly the president, have been great help in putting our plan into action, as well. By now, most of you who have not been privately contacted, prior to this article, on the issue are probably wondering what the solution is. Quite simply, it is a merge. The eJapanese people and government have agreed to take in the eSouth Korean people. The majority of our active citizens will be provided with weapons and moving tickets to go to the Kanto region of eJapan. There we will fight along our eJapanese friends and annex the three territories currently under our control.
After the annexation of eSouth Korea, we will stay together, planning for our future. We will finally finish working towards the hospital for Gyeongsangnam-do that we have always wished for. We will fully organize and train our army and citizens to quickly gain experience levels. We will get ready to fully strengthen our economy. And once we have achieved a point of full readiness, we will return eSouth Korea to the eWorld. A single region, easy to protect from both invasion and political take-overs. This merge will only serve to strengthen our will, and our people. Together we shall leave the union and assert ourself as a fully sovereign nation. A nation to be respected. A nation that will no longer live in fear of invasion. eSouth Korea will live united and strong!
This is the first step of our nation's new life. Let us celebrate and fight! We have come too far as a nation to give up now that we are so close. Stand up proud, fellow citizens. For we are eSouth Korea!
Sincerely,
Yonai Keiko
President
Soldier
Citizen

LETS DO THIS THING
South Korea shall forever be "The land of the Four Valley's"
Join us!
This idea seems quite promising, but how can we be sure it will work?

Skooma we just gotta hope it will 🙂
eJapan welcomes our friends on the peninsula. Welcome, eSK. You will find that we are most accommodating hosts. Also, feel free to pile into the Orange Party, the party specifically designed to represent the unrepresented. 😛 Welcome to Nippon.

Traitors! Selling your own country?
Actually we're paying for it. so.....
"Traitors! Paying to have yourself merged with another state?"
would be more correct.
The government voted in favor.
The congress voted in favor.
The business sector voted in favor.
The populace voted in favor.
then we ran out of people to ask.......
Beeches, u sold your country, OUR COUNTRY
see post preceding yours.
I would have faith, but we are putting too much faith in the Japanese. I'm quite sure that not only will they resist any attempt at re-separation, but also that us South Koreans will be generally forgotten in the process.
The other option was to stay as an independent state, get PTO'd, invaded and split apart.
The end result is the same, only the means of arriving at it is in our hands.
Of the states that surround us - only one shares the democratic principles and the economic, military and interior processes that we have found favorable and have enjoyed in eSK (and would like to emulate) only that one nation is willing to take us freely and without submission or talk of conquering and destroying us.
We are therefore lucky and honoured to be able to do this.
We have no reason to doubt the eJapanese populace or government. The actions of war-hungry citizens over a year ago when the war module was just being unveiled should not effect our relations with eJapan. As Alfagrem has stated, eJapan has the most in common and is the most friendly of all our neighbors. Trust me when I say I would never put such a plan in action unless I was fully sure that it would work, and that those we are merging with could be fully trusted.
Well, given the determination of those who would try to take us over, I suppose that it is the best plan of action available to us right now anyway.
May the citizens of eRepublik have mercy on their souls, for we shall have none.

On behalf of the eNorth Korean people, I am glad to see both sides have come to an agreement, and that it has the support of the people. Once our government is officially established, I know we will be quite interested in assisting both countries in whatever way possible, to ensure that the agreement is fulfilled as it was agreed upon.
We have established both a eSouth Korean, and eJapanese Embassy at our forums at eNorthKorea.net. We'd love for your ambassadors to keep us informed with what is going on and how we can assist.
thefallenmage tells to join the eJapan, but we will not, especially I will not, cuz hes showing the flag of the empire of Japan during the Second World War.
f***... he wants to colonize eSK. I see all from his image.
If you want to ignore a democratic vote taken and passed by all levels of society then its your choice.
I love how most, if not all, of the higher level (10+) players are all for this, and then we get some level 5s and 3s thinking they know whats going on, and crying foul at the "selling" and "conquest" of "their" country. Multis much?
Anyway, once again, welcome, eSK, to Japan. As SECDEF, I would like to extend the offer to your military leaders to establish South Korean Fire Teams to be included in the Japanese Imperial Army.
'gratz Yonai. It's a good idea.
@elenpop2
You also know that Japan uses that flag for their navy still right?
Japan FTW!
Ouch, this is sad.
I hope this plan of yours do work out in the end, as after all you must have put a lot of time and effort into making a decision like this. But I have to wonder how will eKorea ever have enough citizens to get it going later when there is no country for players to join at first place - I suppose it was impossible to maintain even just one province surrounded by the protection of eJapan as to provide a home for new eKorean players to join? Pointless arguing now, I suppose - after all, I wasn't even there when it was all happening.
[We will finally finish working towards the hospital for Gyeongsangnam-do that we have always wished for. We will fully organize and train our army and citizens to quickly gain experience levels. We will get ready to fully strengthen our economy. And once we have achieved a point of full readiness, we will return eSouth Korea to the eWorld.]
Anyway, regarding this do you have any specific goals to achieve for the return? You know, it'd be great if you could share with us the targets that must be reached to attain the 'full readiness', and also provide regular updates on the progress in your forthcoming articles.
In any case, good luck in your endeavors, and I will look forward to the day when eSouthKorea returns to the eWorld.
