The First eUSA Budget
Gilroy
I am here to inform everyone that we will have our fist budget very soon. I, Gilroy, was given the privilege of being named Budget Committee Chairman a few day ago replacing Nathan Woods. Today, the budget committee has approved a budget proposed by JCS. It's now up to Congress to vote on this budget. I am fairly confident it will pass.
Here are the details of the budget.
These are all weekly numbers
-15.53% set aside for infrastructure, MPP's, MoW, Weapon Companies, etc. -
-21.86% to the NG -
-will allow for supplying 1 days battle, every other week
-18.88% to the Army -
-will allow 2 full days battle each week, including ticket money for possible deployment
-28.2% to the Marines -
-will allow 2 full days battle each week with q2's, 4-5 days with q1's
-15.53% toward a country emergency fund -
-Tanking will need to be approved out of the emergency funds
-Any money that is not used each week, will be dedicated to each branch's own emergency fund
-These emergency funds will be saved for either an attack on our homeland, or if an ally is in extreme need

The budget is supposed to improve the transparency and fiscal responsibility of the gov't. However, there will always be a risk of someone embezzling funds as long as people are given control of money and companies without contracts. This has been proven many times over, most recently by Navy. Such irresponsibility needs to stop.
I also want to remind everyone, that the monthly Congressional Rating Poll will start on Monday. I will publish an article providing a link to it and giving my own view of the job the Congress has done so far. Make sure you don't miss this poll. It's the most important thing you can vote on after PP, CP, and Congressional Elections.
Please take the time to take the 16th Congress Rating Poll

Let's get this fair and simple budget approved. Get to work, Congress.
General E. Harlot
Commandant, eUSMC
And the majority of the credit for the budget should go to qn20, Major General of the Marine Corps and sukoidha and Lucius Varenus of the Marines Quartermaster General.
Outstanding work, General qn20, General sukoidha and Colonel Lucky.
Marines leadership on display. Oo-Rah!
Nice work, I made a pie chart since everybody likes pictures.

Nice Pie Chart DF, Pie charts make EVERYTHING better 😃.
Good work Congress on this. Ill do everything in power to prevent anyone from taking or stealing if you will the Army's budget money.
Anyone who hasn't remove Navy from your friends list. This traitor should be treated as such.
Awesome job qn20, Lucius, Gilroy, and the budget committee. You can count on me to approve this proposal.
Nice. Pie chart is sexy, too.
Hey don't forget to thank the guys who did the REALLY hard work. Me, gilroy, and everyone else who had to approve this in the CBC 😛
So that's why taxes are so high? It makes the eUSA look like it is run by a pseudo-military junta for the primary benefit of about 83 players.
I don't live in the US, but I also wonder where all that tax money is going.. you guys aren't involved in any fights, so you don't need a high military budget.. and why build defence systems all over the place?
Gilroy, this looks great. I'm glad you guys had the foresight to budget in emergency funds.
How did you come to the specific numbers for the Marines/Army/NG, they look almost arbitrary, 454/304/352 Gold respectively. Perhaps you can give the public a little insight into how these numbers were reached? And why the Army needs less funding than the NG? Is it simply based on numbers?
the original numbers were 500/350/400 but were edited by taking out 140 gold.
I do not have the details of the military membership and reasoning for spending. The generals got together and what would be the most fair way to distribute the money.
Can you find out for me? It will be hard for me to vote yes on this if we are just taking seemingly random numbers based on their word. Don't get me wrong, I trust most of them but these seemingly baseless numbers don't sit well with me.
Just a guess-- the Army gets less funding than the NG because it is much smaller than the NG? The Army isn't accepting any more applicants, while the NG is growing all the time.
Per capita, the Army still gets more weapons than the NG.
Congratulations Mr Chairman. And hats off to the JCS for yet again making eAmerica proud.
EXCELLENT!
charts = gud.
Glad to see the budget released. And thanks for the visual, DF. 🙂
Looks good. Thanks Gilroy
Yes, Bill. As mentioned above the NG is way bigger then army. It has 550+ while army has 138. qn20 provided the info.
I can help to shed some light. I Helped with the National Guard budget. The budgeting decisions for us came from A) number of active guard members 😎 days of fighting to be funded. There were a few specifics in there but nothing too serious. With that weekly totals were easy to come by. Hope that helps.
How do the damage/$ figures compare for the three?
Can you put some estimates of how much money we take in each week? That would be great. And also(I don't think we do, but I could be wrong) note whether or not our entire intake is from taxes
Verrrry nice. I'm liking that NG funding...
Less money to military, more to economy.
Other than that, good job.
KThxsBai.
When do I get my stimulus check?
Having a budget is an important step in the right direction of fiscal transparency with our tax dollars. I applaud this historic step.
84.4% of it is going toward military power. That ain't right. Sounds like war may be declared on someone soon.
@ Border Collie - It is more than 84.4% to the military. It is proposed that 49% of the remaining 15.53% should go to weapons companies. That raises it to 92%.
28% of the taxes from the citizens of the USA fund the activities of the Marines - who represent about 2% (I think: 83/4200) of the active population.
*****
Why were the gold values taken out from the original? They are still there in the comments, and someone forgot to remove "These are all weekly numbers" when they took out the weekly numbers...
Consider this: What else aside from infastructure and military spending are we going to use tax funds on?
Is there a max size (cap) to the "emergency" funds?
So does this mean we'll be getting military pay again because I'd like to have it to buy guns since no one gives me those either .
An overwhelming majority of the money goes to the military when we ain't even at any wars. I think it's unnecessary. If you can't spend the money on something else, then reduce taxes.
This Federal Budget shall pave the way to America's long term prosperity. Never have been so organised, this is a whole new style of governing and boy does it look promising!
Great work Gilroy, voted.
@ Hari - The infrastructure spending isn't in that 92%. One thing that could change is the balance between military and infrastructure. The other thing is that taxes could be reduced. Even without VAT, over 18% of the income of people who aren't dodging taxes (which is possible) goes to the military. 18% of our income is going to a handful of people to pay for their play.
It's not difficult to work out how to dodge taxes of course, because the game rules are so simple, but the low income people are most likely to be unable to dodge taxes.
@ balage - We are involved in other countries' wars, and may very well be paying towards them. For example, at the moment the eMarines are in Romania, fighting against the Indonesians.
Thanks to some loose talk (eMarines lack the discipline of special services and so want to tell the world that they are eMarines) there is an indication that orders were issued. They have probably not gone privately - that would probably be a contravention of standing orders. That means that it is quite possible (but not definite) that they are spending our money. They are fully entitled to do that. The Romanians may be paying the US govt - we don't know, and we shouldn't know right now, but we can ask.
We may never see how much has been spent, or what the damage/$ is - but in any event we should not be told that for a few days at least. The statistics of a typical current battle in that war mean that the eMarines' contribution is not significant in military terms, but it may be in political terms (we'll help Romania if they help us).
awesome, now we are starting to look like an actual government. Good job guys.
Love the pie chart! Maybe with some fiscal responsibility we can fight for more than three minutes before we get exhausted.
@ Emerick
revenue = $11,500 USD/day = 1700 gold/week
That's all from taxes. So far, we're treating USD currency issues and MM regulation as off-budget items.
-- ssomo, congressional budget committee (CBC) guy
Woot! We have a budget.
The budget is for future spending, so funding for the military will bring the US to the table of nations who will do significant damage in battle. Since were funding all branches of government, this is not a method to funnel money to just the richest and most experienced. Everybody will get to play soldier.
Don't quote me on that, but good job, Congress 😉
Thanks for approving our budget. 🙂
