The first 24 Hours

Day 1,557, 06:25 Published in USA Canada by Rigour6

When I emigrated to the eUSA, I fully expected to stay under the radar for the first little while.
But what a 24 hours it has been!

First of course there was the 25% increase in production occasioned by the new bonuses. That’s obviously nice, although since I lived in a place without those bonuses for so long, clearly that’s not a big motivator for me.
All the same, higher production is good to see.

Then there was the steady of stream of friend requests and messages, both from e😜at Canucks, and friendly Yanks. I am still working through all those, forgive me if it takes a little time. I have never been one who believed in having a friend list of 1000 players – no offense to those who feel otherwise, but you can see the introvert showing.

Then a message from the great Addy Lawrence, followed by his formation of the new MU, Canadians in America (or CIA for short).

I am the first recruit, but how’s this for the 4 horsemen:
Addy Lawrence on lead vocals and Lead Guitar,
Fritzhill on Drums,
Oliver Mellors on Keyboard and backing vocals,
and your humble narrator on Bass?
Talk about 3 guys I’d be honoured to march through the Gates of Hell with.

Almost as quickly, a request for a party change so that I can act as a Blocker, a quick conversation and off to Spain and into a blocker nomination. (Note to readers: my record in actually seeking public office is something like 1 in 7, so stand by for super irony if I somehow get elected while a Blocker. But hey, who knows? Asking people to vote for me never worked, so maybe asking them not to will also have the opposite effect.)

Now, as you might expect, it will take time to figure out, not so much who is wearing the white and black hats, but which shade of hats go best with my own philosophies. So let’s not rush to judgment BUT
I cannot tell you how good it is to have a day spent in the eworld in which one spends most of their time working on BUILDING something, with the hope that it will, in some small way, make the nation stronger.

That is a beautiful bracing gulp of salt air after a long time spent in the shadow and stench of destructive roleplay.

God Bless America.

PS. Yesterday I was ranked 228 in eUSA and today it is 232. Very encouraging. One of the things that used to depress me the most back home was to see my rank rise (ultimately to #40) as the Strongest and Brightest of my teammates kept leaving.
