The Fat of the Land: Analysis of ONE's Reactionary Wars

Day 1,452, 08:25 Published in USA Canada by New Faustian Man
Introduction

The current worldwide conflict prosecuted by ONE has nothing to do with an attempt to upscale ONE's production in armaments and foodstuff. These wars are not genuine attempts to extend territory, what they are is reactionary incursions spurned on by the series of humiliations TERRA/EDEN has wreaked against ONE states.

The Precarious Invasion

Greatmoff, a ONE commissar stationed in Britain to ensure indigenous Britons adhere strictly to the ONE Party line and follow its military directives, had this to say when quizzed on the long-term success of ONE's invasions:

"..entirely unsustainable? Well of course that is the nature of the game..."

Common sense also tells you ONE's leadership don't seriously believe they can recoup in resources what they've wasted in armaments and gold to fuel this invasion.

ONE on the march!

According to Greatmoff, the reason behind this conflict is simple: aimless destruction, or, as he put it: the "Point of war: Wiping an enemy." In other words, there is no greater military or socio-economic objective beyond that. It would appear, despite there superior manpower, ONE does not have the confidence in there own ability to hold for an appreciable length of time those regions they've captured in North America and elsewhere.

Ever westward roll the tanks of ONE!

As proof of this, direct your attention to the British invasion of Ireland.

Ireland - as its proved time and again - is more than capable of repelling British armies. So why then would ONE mobilize Britain - who's armies are repeatedly beaten out of Ireland - if it believed there was any future to this invasion? As things stand, this war is rather a way Britain can deflect the otherwise malefic advances of there ONE overlords. Nothing more. Britain harbors no more hope of holding onto Irish regions than does Serbia or Poland US regions. Is not the invasion of America by the Serbo-Polish armies the invasion of Ireland by Britain writ large: a make-shift, plodding affair that has no real direction other than its tactic of staving off for as long as possible its eventual ejection?

Looking at the overall strategic picture with an eye on the recent past - it necessarily follows that these "gains" by ONE are merely a blip. ONE's expenditure to maintain its momentum dwarfs that of TERRA/EDEN, who are more than happy to open RWs and sap yet more of ONE's resources and fighters. Looking at the bigger picture, its evident - as Greatmoff himself testifies - that this whole thing is entirely unsustainable. The recent past could tell you that.

The British Slave State

The question still remains: why would Britain wage an ultimately profitless campaign against Ireland, treading the same old ground, when Serbia and Poland make huge gains within continental United States, invading resource-rich state after resource-rich state?

The answer is obvious: whilst some ONE superstates prosper, poor relations like Britain find themselves ruled by the iron fist of ONE commissars like Greatmoff - gaining little reward for there struggles, other than the uncomfortable prospect of attempting to hold volatile Irish regions. All of which underlines Britain's lowly place in the ONE hierarchy. As Serbia and Poland obtain huge stocks of resources from America, Britain - no better than a ONE slave state at this point - gets to while away the days in Ireland creating a diversion, using precious resources to soak up EDEN fighters, so that there Serbian and Polish overlords are allowed some semblance of peace within which to wallow and get rich off the FAT OF THE LAND in America! Content as pigs in shit.
