SOS Brigade Bulletin

Greetings eRepublik! My name is Fae and I’m the founder of the eSOS Brigade (Save the eworld by Overloading it with Something fun! Brigade) and I’m here to talk to you all about eSOS’s first major project and activity!

We in the Brigade are all really excited about this one and we hope you are too! What am I talking about? Well I’ll cut to the gist:

An eRepublik Story Article Marathon!

What is such a thing you ask! Well let me explain!

The eSOS Brigade will be sponsoring a five (5) day Marathon. The first day being the 26th of this month, and the last being the 30th! For each of these five days there will be a theme as follows:



9/26th – eSOS Party!
9/27th – Ice Cream/I scream!
9/28th – Ninjas vs Pirates!
9/29th – Hetalia (omg countries are talking!)
9/30th – The Apocalypse of eRepublik!



The goal is for anyone and everyone interested to write a short story (so that it fits into an article). Each day participants will write a story involving eRepublik and the appropriate theme and then they will publish them in their newspapers!

But wait! It gets BETTER! For anyone who submits their story for judging by our Brigade, we will not only publish a list leading to each story in an article but we will reward the best author of the day with 2gold*!

You read right, 2 gold.

It gets even better! The best authors will have an encore on the day after with all five best stories grouped and their links published in the SOS paper for all to see.

But how do you enter? It’s really easy!

You send Faeyas a PM in eRepublik with a link to your article. We will then read it and judge them. By the next day the winner will be announced for the previous day.

We will judge articles on how best they fit the theme of the day, and how closely they related to eRepublik. Basic reading comprehension is a major plus, and creativity is welcomed.

Naturally we aren’t seeking out those ONLY interested in gold or the contest. If you want to try this out, even for a day, do it! The eSOS Brigade believes an active community is a more vibrant and fun community. One of the many ways to be active is through writing articles, so we are encouraging that!

*Now we like to be fair, and we recognize that there are many talented authors out there. But in the name of activity we will not award a duplicate author. We feel that acknowledging your talent during the event is the aim of the reward, not constantly rewarding you every day. Thus each author can only win once. Furthermore the number of votes you get will not influence the judges.
