The End Of Our Time In EDEN
Well, as it's being reported elsewhere, the deed is pretty much done. The US is all but guaranteed to leave EDEN. Part of me is pretty sad about this--we had some pretty good times together. But lately, as has been widely discussed, things haven't been going well for the US as a member of the alliance. But mostly, I'm giddy with excitement. That's right, I'm giddy.
Srsly giddy.
Why, you ask? Because the eUS is a new country today. We can--and should--reaffirm our ties to many of the EDEN countries. By the same token, however, we can do whatever we please with our international relationships. We can work to create our own future, rather than following the blueprints of a future decided by the nebulous EDEN Supreme Command. This should make each US citizen feel quite empowered.
But as a Mr. Parker's uncle said, "with great power comes great responsibility". We now are the directors of our own fate. We have a chance to excel, but we also have a chance to fail. No one knows how EDEN will act towards us in the coming months, but they certainly won't be treating us like a member-state.
The famous conversation.
We're going to have to find the pieces of national security and prosperity ourselves. Will this allow us to make a future that better meets our needs? Absolutely. Is there an easy, obvious solution to the problems confronting us? Absolutely not.
Still, I joined eRepublik to make something epic, not to follow the orders of commanders I'd never spoken to. Now, we have that chance. And you should be as giddy as I am at that chance. So, let's roll up our sleeves and get busy, Dio knows this country has a long road ahead of it.

so you are stating that you should enjoy all the benefits of membership (MPP.s) without any participation in EDEN operation and finances ?

No. I'm saying that just because we're leaving EDEN doesn't mean we don't like Croatia etc. We should still help them. But assume the worst if you'd like.
Zelja, Croatia would do well to remember that when they need bailing out when PEACE GC was invading them, it was eUSA to the rescue. Infact, most EDEN countries would do well to remember how much the eUS Helped them out even when we were losing a nation because of being part of EDEN.
Frankly, EDEN leaders made this move happen. Had they not started the discussion of removing the eUS from EDEN or fining the eUS for not doing their bidding in ONE instance, they would still have a happy ally instead of a member departing the alliance.
EDEN is dying the same death that PEACE GC did. Its become an imperialist machine dominated by two nations who view themselves as above every member nation and want MORE than every other member nation. EDEN HQ doesnt bother to listen to nations its even helpings plans because they want High Regions for themselves instead of working towards building alliances.
May EDEN rot next to the carcass of PEACE GC.

Zelja, Yes they did but we didnt then get a baby boom and act like the biggest baddest kid on the block in EDEN. Croatia did. They got a baby boom then started attempting with help from Poland to transform EDEN from brotherhood into PHOENIX like servitude.
Most of the Euro nations in EDEN remember how many times the eUS bailed them out, even in times when the eUS was facing oblivion. Sadly Poland and Croatia dont and as such burned this bridge at both ends then sit back and are suprised that the eUS is leaving EDEN.
Wonder how long Croatia will be around with out the rabid troops of the eUS Military there to bail them out. Poland will fare slightly better right up to the point Serbia decides they are tired of Poland existing and remove it from the eWorld.
In short, EDEN needed the eUS but treated them like garbage and is now "shocked" that the eUS wants nothing to do with EDEN. Wonder how long EDEN lasts after the eUS departs it and removes all its military might from the EMC.

eAmerica doesn't pay 2100 gold a month to be friends with anyone, true friends help each other and do not place a price tag on it.

you must be higly delusional, every country in eden pays membership (EVERY) , its ALLIANCE , and the membership fee is used for common goals, like today for freeing Finland or maybe when that money was used for freeing USA from PEACE ?

There are alot of people in other countries like that, America is just picked as the stereotype because inRl we are a superpower and it goes to peoples head sometimes, but us leaving doesnt mean we wont help, we just want a new start, i dont see how thats something to condemn a nation for wanting a little more than guidelines on how to live. 😉

You all should relax a bit. All in all i figure we nead to be shaken up a bit. All this is getting a bit letargic. Personally i dislike this kind of politics that are currently being applied all over europe. Too much looking like PEACE some time ago. This is not an insult just a remark 🙂 besides not long time ago there was much more communication between countries. I cant loose the feeling some countries figure currently they dont nead some countries they fought for and which fought for them in the past. Sadly stuff like that is happening...curiously enough im not talking about yanks here. For what its worth...when crisis about Romania flipped out i figured things will change when that cooled off. But same things still happening. Too bad.
