The end of my term as party president of the PCP

Day 1,090, 16:36 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by cas3

Hello eUK,
As my time as party president of the PCP is coming to an end I feel like writing an article briefly summarising the last couple of months 🙂.

Soon after I became party president on the 15th of September, the PCP had a pretty poor performance in the congress elections which was partly because of my absence over a few days. Since then though the party has been going from strength to strength, even in the face of adversity.

There came a moment of controversy when several PCP members including myself fought against the eUK, and some people wrongly chose to tar the whole party with the same brush. Personally I don’t regret what I did at all, I stand by my reasoning and unlike some it wasn’t just mindless rhetoric and I didn’t completely go against everything I said.

It did however add fuel to the Goku Jones fire of hate. The PCP had to endure a campaign of slander and lies but instead of lowering ourselves to the level of Goku Jones we made our rebuttal another way. In the last month we have started several new initiatives which along with our older initiatives have served to make the PCP better than ever.

We now have the PCP mentor scheme to guide and direct new players and we offer all new party members on our forum a welcome gifts from the party. As well as this we have launched our first co-operative, to diversify our economic offerings and offer fairer and freer job opportunities. We paid out our first weekly dividend this Friday of £62.32 to each worker (on top of their wage of £7.25 a day). For the first week, and given the fluctuations in the market, I think this was a great start and I’m sure the co-op initiative will go from strength to strength. There are still a couple of jobs available as well so message me if you’re interested 🙂.
So that was how we countered a campaign of hate, with new initiatives which once again highlight why we are a progressive and potent force in the political landscape of the eUK.

On top of this we had one of our best congress results ever in October and even beat the second largest party, UKRP, by gaining the second highest number of congressmen behind TUP. RFA’s result of 2 only served to highlight the failure of Goku’s wayward policies which were at odds with the majority of RFA members and the general public.

In the last two months we have also fielded two CP candidates who have taken part in excellent, well fought campaigns. We may not have had our candidates elected but we have shown great spirit and highlighted our political independence, especially after officially declaring that we would leave the UK-Left alliance with TUP on the 19th of September.

Our campaigns added something that had often been missing in the CP elections - diversity and fresh ideas. Although radical, we put forth many interesting proposals and at least offered a real alternative to the normal two-horse race that is often seen (who also usually have little difference between them anyway).

The People’s Army of the PCP also had a great campaign to free Scotland from the Finnish invaders with a resistance war in October. With eUK troops busy fighting PHOENIX battles across the globe the PCP took it upon itself to liberate Scotland, and with a huge organisational and logistical effort we succeeded! This involved the distribution of hundreds of food, weapons and moving tickets to both PCP and non-PCP members, as well as some comrades from the Internationale.

And so ends my term as PCP PP which has spanned two months. I’m really honored to have served as PCP Party President and I hope I’ve done a good job as I have aspired to! We now look to our next Party President who after two rounds of voting on the PCP forum has been selected by the PCP to represent us for the next month - Sir Scott Wiliamson. Many outside of the party won’t know of his hard work and dedication over the last couple of months but amongst party members it has not gone unnoticed, and now we all hope to see the same qualities throughout his month as Party President. I wish him the best of luck.
