The DPC and Why You Should Join.

Day 487, 16:38 Published in China China by Laffopuritain

In recent days we have seen many small debates about the coming congressional elections. While all congressional candidates will be accepted (unless we get many more) the elections have raised the issue of political parties and their place in eChina. As the Party President of the Democratic Party of China, I would like to share with you the history of the party as I know it, and the party's political platform.

History of the Democratic Party of China

The Democratic Party of China was started by Logomaster304 after the liberation of Henan and Anhui. Logomaster did a brilliant job of getting people to move back to eChina, start companies, and begin a fund to liberate Beijing. The two Indonesians (Food2Rax and Ras Tafari) who had recently done the majority of the work in liberating the two regions misunderstood Logo's intentions as an attempt to Take Over eChina. As a result, they came in at the last minute and ran Food2Rax for the Party Presidency.

Believing this to be a TO in and of itself, a few of the English-speaking eChina citizens banded together to figure out what to do. We came together in the Chinese IRC and brought the infamous Benn Dover, e😜resident of the USA, Media Mogul (one of the few who didn't pay people for it), extraordinary businessman and Atlantis Tank, to ask for advice. In the talks to follow, it was decided that I would donate the 40 gold necessary to create a new party to Logomaster so that he could create the CEP (I voted for calling it the PFMBGNeC. Or the Party For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of eChina, but that got shot down) and we could run our own candidates in the congressional elections.

In our attempt to get as many seats as possible, we ran as many people as we could. This turned out to be a semi-mistake, as many of our ranks, having gained the medal, left eChina in the week to follow. The good news is, we were able to propose and pass the taxation laws we had wanted and needed.

As the presidential elections approached, members of the newly created CEP grew tense as they debated what to do about food2rax and the elections. It was decided that we would not ask for Atlantis support to do a counter-TO, as we were not sure weather or not Food's running was a TO or not. Also, we did not want PEACE to see the move as a move towards allying with ATLANTIS (as we had decided to remain neutral in the conflicts to come)

As it turned out, Food2Rax had many of his Indonesian friends move in for the presidential elections, only to leave shortly after. Afterwards, Food proposed many members of the CEP to join his cabinet. Pyroelectricity, a member of the CEP, was distraught over Food's victory, and he proposed two congressional proposals before moving to the United States. the first was a donation proposal, asking members of congress to approve the removal of the PKR (Pakistani currency) we had acquired from the RW from our treasury into an organization run by Logo. The other was a proposal to impeach Food2Rax as president.

After around a week of Food promising to speak to the Iranian President concerning Beijing, we had heard nothing. At this point, Shevade, a congressman for the DPC and a rl friend of Food's decided to propose an impeachment of Food and move to Bosnia and Herzegovina. members of the CEP took the chance to remove the president who was giving us no news as the Beijing.

We spent a lot of time in IRC speaking about this, and we decided that I would stay up until the deadline to run for party president, and run, since Food had made the same mistake Logo had made. He assumed no one would run against him, and therefore did not bother to run for the seat himself.

So I had won the DPC seat, and Modelcon ran unopposed (with logomaster's consent) for the CEP seat. Food2Rax, after losing both his presidency and party roles, stole the money from the Chinese bank, began buying all the food on our market and left for Indonesia, bringing all of his Indo friends with him. My response can be found here

The DPC Position

As you can read in the link above, I began to outline the position of the DPC. The DPC had only around 5 members left after the Indos returned home, and so I was working to strengthen the party up again.

Owning a food company and 2 grain companies for eChina, I decided that the DPC would stand for free industry, with raised taxes to help stabilize the CNY value, and to raise money to help liberate Beijing.

the ECONOMY

The DPC stands for these principles. We would like to see taxes for all industries around the following values for all industries.

VAT- Value added Taxes. These taxes take the amount that a company wants to sell a product for, adds this percentage to it and places it on the market. The company owner gets every penny he wanted to make from the product, and the government coffers get the extra percentage.

The DPC would like to see this value around 15%. It is currently at 12, as Benn had suggested. This will allow citizens to still afford the products, while giving the treasury a bit of a boost.

Income Taxes These taxes are two-fold. Firstly, it takes the amount an employer wants to pay it's employees, and subtracts the value from it. The citizen make less money because of this.

Secondly, whenever a company owner takes money from the company's coffers, this percentage is subtracted from the amount he is allowed to keep.

The DPC would like to see this around 7 percent. It is currently at 5. Income Taxes should be less then VAT taxes, because it directly affects everyone who makes money.

The Import Tax. This value is set high in most developed nations, as they feel they can produce all the products they need. Nations like Indonesia set this at 99 percent. However, in eChina, we can produce products cheaper than any competitor. Because of this, the DPC believes, along with Benn Dover, that any imported materials that chinese citizens can afford, are products we as a country need. Importers should be seen as friends, not foes.

This is why the DPC supports taxes around the 1% mark.

Beijing

As I've said before, our number one goal should be the acquisition of Beijing.

I take the following from a past article of mine, found here

"This would be my number one priority as a Congressman. It has been stated that Iran is willing to peacefully let us take Beijing for 100 Gold. This goal cannot wait until we are able to raise the money through taxes, however, since our entire future lies in this region's hands. To help you understand why, I cite the actions of eThailand.

As many of you know, eThailand has no high-productivity regions. Despite this, they have still managed to woo a decent number of companies to their country with relatively low wages. The problem, however, lies in that eThailand does not have the labor pool to keep up with the high demand for employees. So Thailand starts a campaign to bring in more citizens, which is semi-successful, but not successful enough to provide a large enough labor pool.

It is my belief that eChina's situation could be similar, with one very large difference. With Beijing, we would have access to not only High Grain and Oil productivity, but also Beijing's 66 citizens. eChina has a total of 24 citizens at the moment, so annexing Beijing would bring us to 90+.

With a high productivity region and low labor costs, foreign companies will flock to eChina. with jobs and a low labor supply, the companies will be competing for the employees, raising the labor costs. With competitive wages comes more employees and more citizens for eChina, and therefore a more stable economy.

Beijing is central to China's future, and I have personally been working with citizens on IRC to help raise the needed funds."

The cause remains the same, the details have changed. Logo has said he has tried speaking with the Iranian president, and it has been difficult to receive a response. All he has managed to get is a promise to speak with the Iranian congress concerning it.

The DPC therefore believes that it is time to begin speaking with both Atlantis and PEACE countries about pressuring Iran to release Beijing. If we can get both alliances to ask for Beijing back, Iran will be more likely to let it go for a price.

Presidency

I have seen too often how the Party President doesn't even consult his constituency before proposing a Presidential Candidate. The DPC will not be like this. When it comes closer to election time, all people wishing to run for president should send me their presidential presentations. I will then send the presentation to all DPC members, and ask them to vote for whom the DPC should support. The winner of this Primary will receive the DPC's nomination, unless the candidate is already supported by all other parties.

The reasoning for this last clause is that, in order for a country to be democratic, it needs a choice. If no choice is presented, a vote is not really a vote.

Capitalism and the Free Market
