The Door to a New Year [Inwegen/CRoy for POTUS]

January, coming from the Latin word for door (ianua), is the door to the year. With a new year comes a new start.

I have been nominated to run for President of the United States by Greek Hoplite on behalf of the Specialised Elite Execution Squad, which was approved by the SEES Elder Council, of which I am a member. Thanks, but I politely decline that nomination. With that, I also resign from the Council, as well as from the SEES party. I love you all, but not the party. Except for Walnutz, seriously, why is that guy allowed in any party? In before Walnutz comments here saying this is a terrible article, like he always does.

I wish to endorse Inwegen in his bid for presidency, and I strongly encourage those of you who were considering voting for me to vote for Inwegen instead.

I have known Inwegen a long time, and over the last month while working in Josh Frost's campaign and eventually his cabinet, I've gotten to know him very well. Before we were always casual friends, we would say "hi", we would have the banter, swap a moving ticket or a Q2 food when it was needed, but since around November 20th, Inwegen has become a true bro. However, the one thing I've learned most about him is that he is the best man for the job, for several reasons.

Inwegen has been President in all but name countless times in the past. Rarely a month went by in the last year when Inwegen hasn't had a high ranking government position. He knows the ropes, he knows all of the relevant people.

Inwegen is one of the nicest guys you will meet. I can't count how many times I've seen him go out of his way to help people, either by supplying them with information, or providing them with food or money to help them get by. I can't count how many times I've had a public disagreement with the guy and he's sent me a private message on IRC asking are we still cool. You will not find someone more level-headed.

Inwegen has perspective on this game that a lot of people are lacking. Go back and read that sentence, notice how I said game, and not country, or world, or even eRepublik. Inwegen knows that this is a game, knows that we're all here to enjoy ourselves, and wishes only to fascilitate that.

Inwegen wants to involve everybody. In accordance with the previous point, Inwegen realises that to have fun, you have to be involved. Us older players have long found our niches, and can enjoy ourselves without being guided or encouraged, which is is why Inwegen is strongly encouraging new players to get involved in various programs and even in some of the (lower-ranking) cabinet positions.

In short, Inwegen is the President I would have been, but better. How can I refuse a chance for the America I wanted to be built, without the effort on my part?


Plus, he is goddamn handsome.


And with the handsome devil himself, James Franco as VP, what more could you ask for?

This January 5th, vote smart, vote Inwegen.
