In this article I wanted to tell you guys my opinion about the dictator update.
at first, I think this is a terrible update, because, as you can see in the link below, the population of erepublik is getting smaller. Ofcourse, this is a consequence of the update.

the only people who have profit with this update, are the admins, and the dictators themself. for the rest of the population, there is not a lot of fun in playing this game anymore. there is no chance to get a higher position in the game, so what is the purpose of playing this game then?
I don't think the admins did this update with the idea to make the game better, I think they just wanted to make money. because if you want to become the dictator of your country, you'll have to pay 200.000 NLG to only start the war! in gold that is 1000 gold, and in real money, it is about €333,33. and the worst thing of all, there is no guarantee you'll win the war.

You would think the admins would have a focus group or something like that to test things out and to gauge whether or not the update would be something that the vast majority of players would actually like before deciding to implement it... maybe they do and they just didn't listen to the feedback? :/
Voor 333 euro ben je er nog niet...
Je moet ook nog een hoop mensen aan jouw kant krijgen tijdens de coup. Dus dat vereist nog een hoop geld voor supplies of COs.
Het is een update die de rijkste 0.1% van eRep weer even voorziet van wat spektakel. Maar voor de gewone man is het gewoon rustig afwachten aan de zijlijn. Wij schieten er niks mee op en potentieel worden hele landen naar de afgrond geholpen door hun nieuwe dictators.
daarom schreef ik ook dat als je 200.000 betaalt dat je dan alleen nog maar de oorlog start, en dat je dan ook nog geen garantie hebt op de winst
