The Definition of Insanity.......
Bienville
The results of the "new" war with Portugal are very familiar;
eUSA Fights
6738
Damage
226163
Average damage per fight
33.565
PEACE Fights
8968
Damage
384019
Average damage per fight
42.821
Most of the pros and cons of this war have been debated to death, one aspect I have not seen discussed, Why are we starting a war that benefits our enemies more than it benefits the eUSA?
PEACE eCitizens gained 4460 more experience points than eUSA Citizens, and assuming 5 battles per player PEACE gained an extra 46.28 damage points toward rank than eUSA.
War Games are supposedly so difficult to plan we resumed the battle with ePortugal to gain the benefits of War. How was eUK able to plan and execute their War Game so successfully? The only players who benefited from their War Game were eUKrs and eBelgium.
Until the strength/rank ratios gap with PEACE is lessened the eUSA should go to war only as part of a coordinated effort with our allies or to take pressure off of a resistance war we support, ie Australia.
The eUSA needs war games and a lot of them.
The new eUSA administration should be ashamed of itself.
The definition of insanity, doing the exact same thing the exact same way, but expecting different results.

TO deplete the assets of our enemies.
Yea, except the biggest rational behind this battle was to gain experience for us. Yet THEY got more experience. Kind of blows that one out of the water.
And maybe we did deplete some of their assets. But will we reap the benefits of that? Or will someone else?
That only helps when they have less assets than we do
Wouldn't it also deplete our assets a little bit too?
I'm a noob, but I see the point..
The problem is, our new citizens need battle experience. The PEACE guys had a bunch of goon inflicting 150+ damage pts. per battle. We had very few.
If we don't find a way to get experience, someday PEACE will be in Florida.
Helping a resistance war is an idea, but the logistics would be near impossible... everyone would have to quit their jobs, quit their parties, buy tickets there and back. Very difficult, especially for new players.
I don't have the answer, but I think you ask an important question.

The eUK pulled it off --- why not eUSA ---- oh, duh they planned theirs
One possible idea...
I watched most of the first few hours of the battle.
If you look at the record of battle, almost all of the first hits were eUSA... in fact, we were up about 20,000 damage points during the first two hours.
What if we start a battle, get our licks in (and experience pts.), then quit while we're ahead?
Had the President withdrawn after the first two hours, it would have been a truly beneficial wargame for the US... noobs like me get experience points, get to check into a hospital and get our wellness up, and we END IT before the PEACE goon squad gets in and starts scoring huge damage points...
I've only been doing this 10 days... Can someone tell me if I have this wrong?

Eh, good point. I still say wargame exercises with ATLANTIS membernations would be exponentially more beneficial.
But I was also reading that the PEACE nations have spent over 4,000 gold on this ordeal, while the eUS had spent only some 15k USD (I think that was the general estimate anyway).
I have asked repeatedly how we know how much gold they spent --- no answer, seems to be a guess. Besides PEACE started from a stronger position and we just made them stronger.
