The Death of the Q2-Q5 Food Industries
JGutenberg
Yes, you read the title correctly.
When limited to one meal a day people would purchase an expensive high quality meal to make up for maximum lost health and happiness.
However, those days are now over. With the new addition of the manual eating feature, one will be able to eat food until their bellies burst at +300 points of health. This will obsolete all Q 2-5 food companies.
Why? Because the cost between quality of food and price per points are exponential. As you can see from our markets below, Q1 food is far cheaper per point gain than Q5 food.
Day 999 Prices of Irish Food Per Point Gain
Q1 .00043333333g
Q2 .004633333g
Q3 .0086666667g
Q4 .011325g
Q5 .014306667g
Day 1,000 Prices of Irish Food Per Point Gain
Q1 0.000693333333g
Q2 0.00465833333g
Q3 0.00866666667g
Q4 0.00417083333g
Q5 0.00572g
However, since Q1 food gave such a limited wellness gain it was only used by people working in Q1 companies. Older players with higher skills generally work in Q5 companies and need a much higher wellness gain a day.
What now determines what food is purchased is not how much health or happiness it gives, but how cost effective it is per point. Why by a piece of Q4 food for 5 IEP when you could by 4 Q1 food for 1 IEP each, and gain the same amount of points for less cost?
It looks like admin broke the game. Again.
P.S. A way to fix it would be to limit the number of food pieces consumable in a day, say 20. This would boost all food quality markets as players would buy depending on how hard core fighters they are.

This idea had come to my mind, too, but I haven't wanted to think about it.
I think the food companies will be OK because they can downgrade and get at least some of their gold investment back.
But the real victims will be the employees. Salaries will have to be cut substantially if the product is downgraded to level 1. This, or course, means less disposable income and fewer tax dollars.
Another poorly thought out, band-aid fix by admin.
I don't think this will happen (at least imminently). As it is stated , maximum wellness is up to 300 health / day. So it is roughly up to 30 foods giving 10 health.
But it is still not clear if we will only be able to consume in case we fight.
And also this change will lead to more wars, people will have to fight therefore consume higher quality food.
"I don't think this will happen (at least imminently). As it is stated , maximum wellness is up to 300 health / day. So it is roughly up to 30 foods giving 10 health."
Or 100 Foods giving 3 health each, which would be a lot cheaper.
Luminara is surely right, also there will no doubt be the convenience factor too, People will not want to have to click 50 times just to heal themselves. If anything these changes will be a boost to all food producers at least in the short-term and will go some distance to improve the flow of money. Which has been completely stagnant since the start of v2
JG very gppd article
at the beggining thats that will happen
and after many tickets the 300 health per day will fall to max 90-100
and all will stabilize again
just some "rats" will make a treasure in the minwhile
@JGutenberg
If there was an option to get 300 health anyway, they wouldn't say "up to". I think "up to" means maximum and this maximum can only be achieved by 30 x 10 Health foods.
@Connell Rath
More war will mean consume of more weapon (durability) , moving tickets ie a boost in world economy may be expected in short term. But I think only sector losing will be house manufacturers.
Well, Houses maxed to Health will give 50 Health automatically per day so I'd say the High Q House Market will do ok.
There is going to be a limit on the number of times you can eat tho
i like the new idea, i don't think people will want to click 50 times to gift them sleves, why not just click 10
"There is going to be a limit on the number of times you can eat tho" Is there? I haven't seen any mention of it and it starts in less than 24 hours.
"i like the new idea, i don't think people will want to click 50 times to gift them sleves, why not just click 10"
Because you can save yourself a lot of money, that's why.
"If anything these changes will be a boost to all food producers at least in the short-term and will go some distance to improve the flow of money."
I agree.
Well said!
I have just removed the comment irishboy1967 has been offended. I have no idea why he did.
Damn i missed Ibhoy being offended in public... :[ The 30 click maximum would make sense and Snake the admins gave a health figure based cap without any mention of a cap on number of food per day but saw ur comment on the original article so maybe someone changed their minds 😉 Current food companies are mostly configured wrongly for a near total health focus purchase. Houses also being made more relevant by admin further complicating health management with a -4 of health/happiness loss for those over 80.
Looks like the only limit in place is the health limit. We can consume as many times as we want as long as we don't exceed 300 health/day. Hopefully I'm wrong.
@Nephworks
And now this ruins entire food sector.
@JGutenberg
I am sorry because I thought admins would be a bit reasonable. Things will exactly be same as you said then.
@Luminara -- You don't have to be sorry. I like a little healthy debate.
