The Congressional Elections : Results and Interviews [The Political Cat]

Dear readers,

Here is the first article of the "Political Cat" ! This newspaper will mainly talk about Politics in Belgium (and the future United Belgium). The form of my articles may (and will surely) change in the next articles. Do not hesitate to give me advices ! By the way, if someone could create a nicer logo than the one just upside but with the same font and same colours (Belgium and Netherlands), I would worship him (maybe as much as a cat). Let's start with two graphics about the results :

115 votes have been casted. Which means 115 voters compared to 496 active citizens according to eRepublik. Even if we reduce the citizens non-able to vote, the participation rate isn't really high.

Raskol : Netherlands Be Back is the newest party, created by yourself. Were you confident about the elections ? Weren't you afraid of finishing as the last party ? Why ?

Jofroi : I was confident in the elections, I know I would be elected, like the 35 other times I candidated. There is a reason why I am the eternal congressman of eBelgium! For the other members of the party, they do not really matters as they are only people following my orders. Anyway, we already have a lot of people sharing our beliefs who are infiltrated in other parties and who will be elected this month. Therefore, I am confident when I say that the true NBB will actually have a full majority in congress. When I left ATO (which is a party with the same purpose), I left a lot of minions. Same for Belgium for Belgian and Res Belgica will probably be one of the last target I will reach.

R : NBB, as its name says, is a pro-merge party. The merge is the main point of the programma. How do you feel about the other parties ? Don't you think NBB is the only party that proposes something solid as a programma ?

J : Other parties are too weak. They lack of a clear leadership and they do not have any programma (beside hopes, but I consider that stealing the treasury and being erased from the map is not a programma). The classical parties are getting too weak and they lack of a leader to organize and manage them. I do think that there are only less than two persons who could be able to save the eCountry from the current economical and political crisis and I do not see any other PP currently able to do that.

R : Have you one last word (litterally one) for the eBelgian community ?

A Cat Eye On : Beaver Juice



Everybody knows that Beaver Juice is a joker. So don't ask him your questions in game :



But hopefully, he can be serious too...

Raskol : You are one of the youngest player elected and one of the most hopeful. How do you feel about that ?

Beaver Juice : Some other parties put younger players on their lists, but it's true that I made some progress in politics. I think that's important for young players to have voices in Congress, and for Belgium to know and use their new ideas.
It's a good thing that eBelgian parties allow and help new & motivated players to discover politics on their lists, sometimes in a good position.

R: Do you think new players bring another point of view on politics ?


BJ: Yeah, sure. Our principal problem is that we don't have lots of players. Belgium is small country and people (UK situation proves that) don't respect our nation.

R: How could we change that ?

BJ: We've to offer a better welcome to young players. A young player meet lots of problems and difficulties when he joins the game.
For example, he receives a lot of gold in one day. Then, most of them think they will continue to get 10 or 20 gold per day.
And they use that to upgrade their bulding, out of the sales period, or, more unlucky, to buy health pack (0,5 gold for 10 health...)
After that, players discover that it was a mistake, are disgusted, and quit the game.
We have to take care of these players to increase our national populations and eBelgium activity.

R: Is this the only solution in your mind ? Do you think we could rival with our neighbours if we just help our new playes ?

BJ: I think that it's a beginning. eBelgian need fresh minds and more fun. For the moment, it's like a retirement house.


R: Your party trusted you for a second time and it is your second term as a congress member. How did you manage to gain that trust ?

BJ: It's important to know that ATO is a party who take care of democracy. And it's not just words you know. You don't need to suck the president to have a chance to become CM.
For each CM elections, Tony Clifford, our Party President, organize a poll on the forum and all ATO members vote to choose your favourites candidates.
I made the second confidence score in this game and it's the reason why I'm second on this list.

R: But why people have decided to choose you ?

BJ: You should ask them .But I try to interact with players like I would like they interact with me ; with respect, humour and empathy.
I take my CM mission to heart and I suppose that ATO members, as eBelgian citizens, will more implicated politicians to do great jobs for us.
