The Coconut!

My fellow eCitizens,
As you can see I’ve changed this newspaper's name from The Daily Coconut to The Coconut. I thought about it and I realized it didn't match the frequency of my publications, but don’t worry I will continually publish articles until the day I eDie.(joke)
I want to explain why I chose “coconut”, why not potato, banana or any other plants?
The coconut tree is said to be the Tree of Life, it's a life saver when someone got stuck on an island. It can even survive on sand.
Every part of the tree is useful; you can make a broom out of the leaves, use the trunk as lumber, and get the nectar and make it into wine, called tuba.
The coconut industry is also doing a huge role in the Philippine economy, being the #1 producer in the world. Actually in RL I used to climb several trees and get some young coconuts (the green ones), and we make a creamy buko salad, yum!
The coconut has been a part of my life until I moved to Manila.

coconuts are disgusting.
No way! Coconust aren't disgusting,
They're just sticky
And you eat or drink those in such insane ways
Example drinking it's juice purely inside the cocnut fruit..
The disgusting part of it, maybe there are worms or germs and they get sticked in your straw
while you sip..

It's been a long time since I've had coconut the way it was meant to be:
1) carved above with a straw
2) dried, shaved, and sprinkled on bibingka
(sigh) Miss ko na ang Pilipinas...
