The Circle [A kör]
The Circle
I am standing in the middle of a circle. Friends and enemies are around me, good and bad surround me, neutrals and onlookers cheer or criticize me. I am an axis on which great things turn. They all watch me and I feel uncomfortable under the stares of so many. I am shy, but I must stand in the lights of great spotlights. Whenever I look, I see people looking back, as I turn in the circle, sometimes pairs of eyes meet each other and understanding flows on the frail connection, sometimes it throws me back with anger or contempt, as rivalry flares in some, and I turn, turn, turn, for I want to show no back to anyone; for those who leave their backs unprotected, deserve what they get into it, and I do call it politeness for I am polite on the surface, over the pit of atavistic instincts.
The wheel of fate turns with me, I have brought change and I have brought a storm, but I have to weather it too, I cannot step out of it, I must follow it through, for the course is now set, the circle has no end, it turns round and we will all see what it brings to us. I can still make a spiral out of it, to make it climb to a new level, to refine it and make it better, for growth is still possible. I seek out the eyes that can help, I want to make them see and understand, language is unimportant, my plans cannot be told, they can only be felt, and internalized, for they aren’t plans but ideals that can take roots here and there.
I turn in the circle and listen now to all winds, as they came. They whisper me, I listen, and I take notice of important things every now and then. I accept the role now, again. The bringer of the changes.

A kör közepén állok. Körbevesznek jóbarátok s ellenségek, jók és rosszak körítenek, semlegesek és nézelődők drukkolnak vagy kritizálnak. A tengely vagyok, amelyen nagy dolgok fordulnak meg. Mindenki engem néz, és én kényelmetlenül érzem magam a rengeteg szempár vizslatása alatt. Szégyenlős vagyok, mégis a reflektorok kereszttüzében kell állnom. Amerre nézek, emberek néznek vissza rám, ahogy fordulok a körben, s néha a szempárok találkoznak, és megértés folyik át a törékeny kapcsolaton, néha a harag, gyűlölet szemvillanása válaszol, amikor a vetélkedés fellángol valakiben, és én fordulok körbe, körbe, hogy ne fordítsak hátat senkinek, mert aki fedetlenül hagyja a hátát, az megérdemli, amit kap bel – de udvariasságnak hívom, hiszen jólnevelt ember vagyok az ösztönök atavisztikus tánca fölött.
A sors kereke fordul velem, nagy változást hoztam, és nagy vihart, de már nekem is ki kell bírnom, nem vonhatom ki magam alóla, keresztül kell vinnem már, az út már adott, a körnek nincs vége, körbefordul, és mind látni fogjuk mit hoz magával. Még lehetséges spirált csinálni belőle, hogy egy magasabb szintre jusson, hogy jobbá váljon és kifinomuljon, mert a növekedés még mindig lehetséges. Keresem a szempárokat akik segíthetnek, azt akarom, hogy értsék, és megértsenek, a terveimet nem lehet elmondani, csakis megérezhetőek, átvehetőek, mert nem tervek valójában, csak ideálok amelyek gyökeret verhetnek itt vagy ott.
Fordulok a körben és hallgatom amit a szelek mondanak, ahogy felém fújnak. Mind suttognak már nekem és én hallgatom őket, időről időre kiszűrve a fontosakat. Elfogadom a szerepet megint amit játszanom kell. A változások elhozójáét.
