The Case for a CPF Congress
Hello eCanada, these following days are going to be very interesting for the eNation, because finally after many long months of Spanish occupation, Canada will be having its first Congress elections since March 25 of this year. A new Congress brings exciting new possibilities and the chance for the nation to undergo renewal after the eight month decline.
For the months we have been occupied without Congress, the Canadian Progressive Front and the other political parties have mostly been quiet and politics was put on the back burner. The changes to Congress elections now mean you will be voting for parties with slates of candidates instead of voting directly for one person. This article is here to encourage you to vote for the Canadian Progressive Front on election day, August 25th.
The first reason:
1) The CPF is the party that puts country first and party second
During the occupation the CPF has supported the national government in its attempts to fight, and ultimately deal with Spain, we did not put our own political interests first, and when certain members begin to resort to his behavior, they are quickly repudiated, therefore you can trust that the CPF will always do what is best for country and not focused on party politics.
As an example, our president, klop123, a member of the CPF, did what was necessary to secure regions for our country and stop the bleeding of our society and made the deal with Spain that lets us have this opportunity for Congress in the first place.
2) CPF Congressmen will support our Seven Tenets
If there is anything that the members of Canadian Progressive Front stand for and support it is our seven tenets, which we will maintain and support in Congress for open, accountable, transparent, and common sense government.
The Tenets:
1. Uphold the equality of all active Military Units
2. Make the accounting of government funding more open and important
3. Ensure Canada is a reliable and selfless ally
4. To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game
5. Develop a positive political sphere
6. Bring in Canadians to eRepublik
7. To encourage growth and stability to the eCanadian economy
3) Equal Opportunity and Differing Perspectives
That being said the CPF is a party for new and old, veteran fighters, and players struggling to get by. The CPF Congress lineup will be sure to feature new and old players alike, experienced and relatively inexperienced, and it is that unique combination that will make a CPF Congress great and be sure to have many opinions about bettering eCanada.
4) A CPF President works best with a CPF Congress!
Our current president, klop123, is a member of the CPF, and obviously a CPF Congress would best be able to support and complement klop, and also be able to temper whomever would happen to win the next CP elections. You can expect the CPF to be the voice of reason many times.
5) Me!
I may be writing an article about the CPF Congress team as a whole, but of course I have to promote myself too
😉. Voting for the CPF obviously means you will be voting for me as a Congressman. I’ve represented the CPF in Congress six times, been our Party President five times, and plan on running for Speaker to help lead the CPF Congress that you, the voter, will surely help elect! You can count on me to hold to my promises and ensure the government is open and accountable to you.
Conclusion
The next Congress election is a significant milestone in eCanadian history and will hopefully be hailed as the rebirth of our nation! I hope to see eCanada grow back and am sure a CPF Congress would help to make this one even more successful.
Thank you for your time,

The Blue Moose will represent will in congress!
A quality eCanadian party. Couldn't ask for much more!
MOOOOOOSE !!!
Vote CPF!!
Get this guy in!
Got Moose?
There is so much wrong with this.
How so?
Feel free to enlighten me
There is a bit of fast and loose with some facts.
Again, feel free to say what you think is wrong. No use in making empty accusations.
Clarify?
Knowing the kind of individual Dozzer was, the CPF still put him on the ballot for CP. Reason given. Because the PP promised a CPF candidate. So the needs of the party were put before the needs of Canada, despite that CW had numerous reasons and examples why he has a seriously bad choice. This was only "quickly repudiated" after Dozzer did exact what CW said he would. Lost his temper in a spectacular fashion.
Every party, and every player that remained in Canada for that matter fought exceptionally hard for Canada. Not just the CPF.
Plus both Oinyo and Pat did some seriously solid work to liberate the country. This article sounds like the CPF CP just rode in, waved a magic wand and solved every problem.
Credit were credit is due to the players of eCanada would be warranted to acknowledge.
The sun does not shine from betwixt the buttocks of the CPF as strongly as it thinks it does.
I could go on, but you get the idea.
The actions of an single individual do not define the merits of the CPF. Numerous members of the CPF were shaking their heads at Dozzer's campaign, and he was not put on the ballot by me arbitrarily, the majority of Party members wanted him in. Blame the democratic system, but not me, and don't use it to score points against the CPF.
I was a supporter of Oinyo during his whole term, Pat Harper as well. If I wanted to I could have agreed with Dozzer and changed the party name "Vote for Shoi" but I didn't. I didn't because I felt all three individuals in that race, including Oinyo were highly qualified.
Pat Harper and Oinyo are great people and both have done a lot, but Foxfire, this is an article promoting the CPF, I never attacked any other party in this article, only promoted the CPF.
1.) The party chose to nominate Dozzer by democratic vote, the PP didn't just choose to do so.
2.) Yes, we're all grateful for that fact but this article is meant to promote the CPF, I'm sure the same as MDP and CW articles.
3.) Both Oinyo and Pat did great work for Canada, I just added in to it with my own expertise, but again this is not the place for that, I do that job. If my wand wasn't broken I would have used it months ago 😉
4.) Frankly, Foxfire I'm tired if you holding a grudge against the CPF for one or two trivial actions. I apologize if I sound like a dick but you used to be pretty cool...
You asked, I clarified.
I'm not just referencing the Dozzer incident. I've been around for a long time and I have an equally long memory regarding all the parties, including the CPF. I respect the CPF at it's best does hold itself to a high standard in helping Canada achieve a direction. At it's worst it portrays itself as the only party that can help Canada achieve a direction. It can't hurt to be reminded that it takes all Canadians to make this country work. Not just the CPF. Hopefully with congress around the corner we don't revert to the 'my party can do no wrong' politics we had before the occupation. I'm hoping that we can at the very least take away from the occupation that we were only eventually freed by the efforts of some very dedicated individuals from all parties.
Note: Much effort was put into this comment thread to ensure minimal dickage. No dicks. None.
To be fair, FF our articles are pretty "Fast and Loose" as well. 😛

Well it wasn't important anyway - voted!
The best Candidate for Congress is in the 2-hole with the MDP.
Everyone else ties for last.
I was waiting for your comment Mugsy 😃
Nothing inherently wrong with party politics.
