The Bull Moose Party stands for a stronger America.

From the 16th of December 1907 to the 22nd of February 1909 the "Great White Fleet" toured the globe. This fleet of 16 vessels represented America's evolving technological prowess and emergence into the worldwide military scene. The man who commissioned the fleet and arranged the tour was the same man who would later create what has come to be known as the Bull Moose Party.

The Progressive Party of America combined progressive ideals with a rather aggressive foreign policy. It promoted ideas of a fair wage as well as suffrage for women. It is in this eParty that we hope to more or less mimic the ideals and aspirations of this long-gone party. Though many in the real Bull Moose Party were against drinking (every party has its faults), the erepublik version of the party will not judge you if you like the sauce (and, in these times, who doesn't?).

Theodore Roosevelt formed a new party out of the progressive wing of the Republican Party - it didn't go so well for ol' Teddy. Democratic Party candidate Woodrow Wilson won the White House from Republican Taft and Teddy ended up with a flailing party which dissolved soon after the election. But, really, that's enough real life history.

The Erepublik Bull Moose Party has it's advantages and is a great party for players looking for an alternative the Party Giants. Some things about the BMP:

- It is a moderate sized party, where one's voice can be heard. Join party members in the chat room on the IRC: #BMP
- The Bull Moose Party is not actually a reference to two separate animals, as many seem to believe, it simply refers to a male (i.e. Bull) moose. It comes from a statement made by Theodore Roosevelt, when he claimed he was "as strong as a Bull Moose."
- The Bull Moose Party supports a strong national defense and allowing for the government to help citizens where it is needed.
