The British Workers Party Manifesto: Door to the Next Society

Day 1,230, 03:50 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Daeres

This is the most important day for our party so far, because we now have a set of concrete policies for everyone to view, talk about and hopefully agree with. We worked long and hard at this so i'm very pleased at the end result.

A few notes before I print our Manifesto here: We would ideally have liked to post more policies than are contained here, but the state of world affairs and the possible reforms going through the House of Commons at the moment made us decide to focus this document on our prime objective; improving the lot of the British worker, and enabling him or her to transcend that state if that is their goal.

The Manifesto of the British Workers Party, in Eighteen Points

Domestic Affairs

1) Employment and a fair wage for all
We wish to start up a number of self-sustaining companies, which will pay competitive wage at all skill levels. With a view to their continued good health we will be utilising their own produce to return them to a full productive capacity. Initially this will be BWP program limited to those that fall out of the labour market and restricted to Q1 food, but with power we will be attempting to make this a government program and hope to include grain companies within the program ~ see item 9.

2) Greater oversight for the people
To enable greater oversight into the government, we wish to enact a trial policy of having two citizens who have never been elected as UK MPs able to take part in all discussions within the House of Commons. These 'Tribunes' would be subject to the same confidentially laws as the HoC members and nominated and elected by the HoC members.

3) Transparency in our democracy
At present many House of Commons votes are petitioned by the public to make the voting public, and normally the request is granted. We would seek to make such petitioning unnecessary by making all voting results upon proposals made in the public debate forum to become public by default. We stress that we would not be making the voting discussion public, as that requires a big change in the House of Commons rules.

4) Accessbility and personal growth
We would also encourage the workers of our state to be generally more aware of the systems in place in the government.

5) Democratic principles improved
We would reform the Citizenship Select Committee as it currently stands by making all members of the committee elected by the House of Commons, and for membership to be restricted to MPs. Also we would wish to make it more immediately obvious who the Committee members are, as we feel this is insufficiently clear at present.

6) No more arbitrary citizenship decisions
We would also reform the Citizenship process by requiring an explanation to be given as to why a particular application has been rejected, and for guidelines to be kept in a visible place. The guidelines themselves are at the discretion of the Committee members and to be advised by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and other key advisors.

Foreign Policy

7) Look to the future
We wish to hold a vote on the future of the UK in the TERRA alliance as soon as possible.

😎 Growth of our natural wealth
As per our wish to expand our social programs to include Grain companies, we believe it to be in the UK’s best interest to acquire a Grain region for the bonus it would give workers in those companies, whether via a region swap or by force of arms.

9) Take the Emerald Isle
We state our belief that Ireland should be occupied by British troops to take advantage of its resources and the increase in general wealth it would bestow.

10) We stick with our friends
Wheter our future lies within an alliance or not, we also believe that we should remain loyal to those countries who we have long-standing close relationships with, for example France, Brazil, Macedonia, Turkey and Serbia.

Military

11) Prepare the tanks
The UK Special Forces budget will be both increased, and ring-fenced, aiming to improve the quality of supplies they receive.

12) Evolve the military
The Regular Forces, consisting of the RAF, Army, and Royal Navy, each know best how they might reform their structure and practices. Therefore we would provide them with the means to do so by giving them a budget to achieve this with without any government or party interferences. Success in improving performance would then be further rewarded with additional funding and poor performace will result in cuts.

13) Train the next generation
After coming into power we would maintain a militia to level up players to a certain military rank, at which point they would be thoroughly educated and therefore would be discharged.

Economy

15) No interference where it is unececessary
Our party rejects any interference with the Monetary Markets by the government, and see it as an area that would benefit from being left to market forces to correct.

16) Make the UK the world's trading capital
We would aim to introduce an import taxation policy that encourages more produce from around the world to be imported onto our markets whilst maintaining the viability of UK companies that would otherwise be penalized through a comparative lack of resource bonuses.

17) Changes to income are needed
Income tax would be raised to 10% across the board.

1😎 Power to the workers
VAT would be reduced in order to ensure the UK worker can buy affordable products, which coupled with our import policy will enhance their spending power and ability to determine their own destiny.

BWP, the party so popular some resorted to calling us Nazis to scare away your votes!
Kick business as usual to the curb!
