I would like to personally address this issue sense its been growing and people are hurling speculation as to why its bugged.
First, its NO ONE's FAULT but the Admin's. They never coded in any type of "What if" into the elections module to deal with a situation in which the only person running dropped out of the race.
Normally this wouldnt be so bad, there are usually runners up that their code can default to, but in this case, only one person was running so when Navy dropped out of the race, the code saw no one running, but had votes tallied and as such, freaked out.
I've written to the Admin's via the Contact page but have thus far heard NOTHING from them other than the automated response of "Were working on it".
There is NO reason to start pointing fingers or thinking it was some grand conspiracy, its just a simple glitch in eRepublik... just like the Gold glitch, the Money glitch, the Q5 weapons glitch, the Money Market glitch ect. It should be fixed I hope sometime soon.

lol navy, You dont need to point the finger at yourself, im sure there are enough people doing it with out facts or even a clue to do it for you.

You know what Relorian? If you buy more gold from the admins, these problems won't appear. Because they'll work harder. So don't blame anyone BUT YOURSELF.
its not freaked out. Because if a PP left, they have to pass position to another guy. So, if there's no PP now in BP, but there's still members, it somehow glitched and freaked out. So who to point fingers at? Navy. Because the only parties without PP are those which all members have left.
tingmel, I find both of your posts rather distasteful and disrespectful. If you want to point fingers, They should NOT be pointed at Navy or anyone from the BP (Others could have run but didnt for party president). They should be squarely pointed at the ADMINS who have thus far, refused to even look into the problem. Your distasteful trolling proves what kind of person you are.
I have recieved a reply to my first trouble ticket, the reply was "The glitch has been corrected". Great I thought, I'd log in and canadate before the cutoff. No such luck, Their "Fix" didnt fix anything so I've sent in another 3 CRITICAL ranked tickets... Lets see how long they ignore that this time around.

The problem will be solve when I return next month to run for election. I would quit mid-way. LOL

I doubt tingmel knows how to do anything other than troll. I've yet to see one post in which he doesnt just personally attack people.
How am I or anyone whos come over (Other than a few notable examples) causing chaos? Arbryn came over and helped fix this country after it got its treasury raped, I came in a lil after that and adopted this eNation as my own and have done nothing but attempt to better it... so please, do tell how we cause chaos and how you dont?
