This is a short comic about the last 8 months of ERX and it's owners, investors and cooperations.
I suggest you stay as far away from it as you possibly can.
Until about one month before v2 ERX was a decent platform for investors and cooperations.
Then with the announcement of v2 almost all companies stopped paying dividends, which resulted in huge stock value decrease.
The pretext for this was that company owners need to save up to have a better start into v2.
However when V2 arrived most companies didn't start business as promised and decided to "wait it out" until everything stabilizes.
Now another 3 months into v2 most companies have sold their assets and took off without compensating their former investors in any way.
This is still happening in plain sight of ERX admins, who haven't made any effort to stop it.

ERX its a huge hole in the erepublik economy.
oh! and the money of multis, bugs, xploits, theft etc etc... are "washed" here.

I never used the ERX because I never trusted it.
this had to be expected, as there never was a regulatory entity
all businesses have gone down the drain since V2. companies cant pay dividents if they dont have any profits.
max, tjelle and ERX have had to deal with illegally acquired money in the past and had banks being banned. so your claims make no sense.
by the way, there are no regulatory entities here or IRL... if you didnt trust a company, you shouldnt have bought its stock.

Why would the ERX admins make an effort to stop what's happening?
They make gold off the transactions, which is already in their pockets.. so what do they care?

I lost plenty of gold in the ERX, it's a waste of money, you have no guarantee to be payed back, it's like giving money to a stranger in the street at midnight and they say they'll pay you back tomorrow.
The same guys who invented ERX run the American Budget. When I invested two gold and the next day the owner was banned I never spent another dime on the ERX.
IF you have invested in GBG u can be safe. Although i must agree that way to little research have been made before letting companies enter the exchange.

This is why you don't use third party elements in eRep.
Hmm...since eRepublik has no legal system or way for players to file law suits for compensation, its ended up where shit like this can happen. I do not support some sort of regulation on the market, but fraud and theft should be somehow checked. Thus the reason why I support the court system. I'd argue it have to be run by players rather than admin, but with admin-like powers, or nothing will get done. Of course here comes the issue of corruption of judges...I'd argue you'd need some sort of checks and balances. They need to make the game so that the political system is much more realistic but also so it actually has real power in the game....I mean, wht good is a congress that can only tax and wage war, its ignoring the other two functions of government, police and the court system...Also...the introduction of some sort of jury would make players more active perhaps and in theory make the game more interesting for new players..thus more profitable for the actual company which runs eRepublik.

If you don't trust or think you could get scammed by an out-of-game program, don't use it.
Also, invest smartly, don't invest in something that's not a sure bet to still be around in a couple of months, if you want to do that, it's the risk that YOU'RE taking, not tjelle, not ERX, you. It's simple.

You are absolutely right! eRep = RL!
In RL after your car has been stolen the cops tell you:
You just shouldn't have parked there, we are sorry but there is nothing we will do.
And BTW out of the TOP10 investments 8 have taken the money and were never seen again.
As far as banking and economies, eRep is pretty similar to real life. Entering the stock market is a RISK! There's nothing ERX can do if your money is stolen except remove these companies from the stock listing. Which they've done, from what I've heard. I personally also lost some money with ERX, but that's the risk I took. I'm not going to sit here and complain about it. The money is out of ERX and tjelle's hands now.
We have no ePolice or anyway to monitor an out-of-game stock market. If you all feel that this is something eRep should create and police themselves, propose it to them. Admins seem to be responding more to us now, so the time's ripe to make proposals like this.
Don't blame Aiden, tjelle, and ERX for your own poor investments. Just like in real life, you must research the companies you invest in. You wouldn't just give your RL money away to a company you know nothing about, would you? NO, you look into companies that have profitable histories and look for trends in the stocks, or pay someone to do it for you. Either way, you don't just go throwing money around, same here. You got scammed by a non-eRep approved system, once again, it's the risk you take. Grow up, stop being the internet tough guy writing about how you got cheated, and get over it.
Yea but it doesn't mean that there aren't legit companies that started up after the V2 change.
Dude, you are twisting the facts.
1) In real life there is a risk, but not the common practice to take the cash and pretend that nothing happened.
2) I say it again and i can back it up: 80% of top rated investments have dissapeared with investors cash without having to fear any repercussion.
3) I lost some cash in the last few months but i still made a shitload.

i want my money back.
i spent 4 gold on uit, luckly...
anyway, when i wanted to withdraw anything that was left (0.2 gold) and they didn't fuck it up, i never got that...
so basically on my erx account there is no gold and neither is it on my erepublik account
when i wrote ticket i didn't get answer (wrote it about 14 days ago and still no answer)
EVERYONE should have known this. It happened with V1, everyone bought companies and days later the economy tanked and companies go out of business en masse.
Stock market. HA HA HA HA HA! Loooosers.
