The big Thank You

Day 844, 13:42 Published in Norway Norway by Sebulba
Many thanks to go around

Towards the end of my presidential period, I never got around to give thanks to everyone, due to time constraints and other distractions. Here and now, I intend to straighten it out, even though a bit late. So, with no further ado, I'll jump right in.

Hospitals

During my term, we managed to place the last hospitals, as promised. Norway now have a Q5 hospital in every single region. This could not have been done without the superb aid and company savvy from Mongis. He entered a poorly run institution, and turned it around to become a success story, from B to Z. He has been a dream to cooperate with, and has shown brilliant adaptive skills, and have always been polite to the bone. A major part of this success was also Ferlings . I did communicate mostly with Mongis, but he was not alone in it.

For this, I and the rest of the nation thank you. The project has now ended, and you can now focus on your own projects. The gratitude is big, and you will go down in history as one of the great. I just want people to know it.

I have not forgotten about all the workers. They have also been an important part of getting this done, as I'm sure Mongis can testify to. By getting out of bed every morning, and working hard - some days even without the 9 am coffee break. Well done, everyone.

When K|ng/Terje Hansen left his post as Minister of Defence to persue his dreams and a personal life, he also left a huge void. My biggest challenge in constructing a government, was to find a suitable candidate to pick up where he left off. My eyes turned to Eha Pappkriger. He had some big shoes to fill, but he was up for the task. From day one, he took charge, and gave his best. In his team, he had Glost at his side, and together they were always there for us. Some people might have missed K|ngs punctuality, but keep in mind EDEN was in a shaky state. Gathering enough information to be able to plan handouts and orders were not an easy task at the time - believe me. So, for doing a great job in a rough period, and making my job easier, I salute Eha Pappkriger and his helper, Glost.

Finance

First 5 to name these 5 historical persons get a Q2 bread each

When selecting a Minister of Finance, we really needed a new angle. Previous financial acts had not fulfilled the requirements to our needs, and when apointing cherub/Tommy Skaue, he started analyzing the economy at once. He reviced the budget, and started making a long term plan. At the same time, he stood at my disposal to run the Bank of Norway, and the transfers needed at any time, with Endors at his side to aid both his and my needs. All in which, making my job a lot easier, with my nose down the EDEN papers and the finger on the war buttons in the UK issue. Thank you, thank you thank you!

Foreign affairs

I did not fully grasp the task involved in this job, but I gave the job to the previous MoFA, Eris Caelestis. She was well in the system of it all, and Gatewayy got the oportunity to learn from her. Unfortunatelly, both of them had RL stuff to deal with, so things were a bit slow at first. But things turned around, and the work they did got pretty good eventually. I could never have dealt with these issues by myself, and when I gave them a specific task, things were always done promptly, like getting hold of foreign officials and such. Valuable to me, and valuable to the nation. Things could have been better, but I was clear from the start - RL comes first, and if they weren't availeble, I would deal with it when we crossed that bridge. So - thank you both for giving it your best. I know it wasn't easy, but you came through! Thank you.

Immigration

Endymionis and Brekkjern... Not much to say in this matter. They always made sure the newly born citizens of Norway got what they needed. Providng advice, free food, and the money to guide their way in this scary, new world. Good work, guys. I'm glad you were on board.

Public Relation

I feel so bad for poor, patient Duke Jim the Understanding. He was appointed minister of Public Relations, but there were so little he had to go by. Most of what I was doing, was related to national security in regards to war, PTO, and tactics. All of which the public could not know about at the time. And when it was all over, all the information was so overwhelming, I had to deal with it myself - taking away a golden opportunity for him to shine, as I know he would have.He is a good writer, and it was sad he never really got to show it - and I partially take the blame for it. I am sorry for this, whilst I thank you for your loyalty.

Other

Last, but not least, I would like to give a huge thanks to Cirno. He was my vice President, and was an integral part of my presidency. He was more than my right hand. He did all the dirty work I didn't have time for, and was a very busy bee behind the scenes. He helped me out with practical problems, took reports from MoF and MoD, as well as give his expert opinion in important matters. I will be forever grateful for your hard work. Without your help, this term (from hell) would never have worked out like it did. I'm glad to have had you by my side.

General

In general, I would also like to thank our friends and allies, for yet another great friendship. We renewed the Mutual Protection Pacts (MPP) with USA, Spain, Greece and Romania.

No, I didn't forget Sweden and Meleni, for coming to terms with a small Training War towards the end of our terms, in the battle for Nordjylland, Denmark.

This turned out the be a suck-up fest, and I almost didn't publish it. However, these are things I needed to say, and I think the people I worked with deserve to get some praise for the hard work done. I really hope Bob Turkee have the same passionate and skilled people around him - he himself is one, so he deserves it. So far, things are looking good!
