The Best Economy Ever
One Eye
Yes we are living in the best economy ever. It's amazing and it gets better and better by the minute. In fact there has never been more parity between the new player and the established veteran.
Wages and prices are in a death spiral headed towards nothing, and this is the best financial news we could hope for. Skeptical? Read on.
Do you ever remember a time in V1 where a new player could purchase over 100 weapons with their initial 5 gold? Of course not, it never existed. A year ago that 5 gold could only buy 25 weapons. With the 10g a player can get for free in their first 30 days they can buy over 200 weapons. That's enough guns to fight 5 times a day every day for 40 days. Amazing.
Do you remember the last time a skill 0 employee could earn 1/10 what a skill 7 employee could earn? Nope. A year ago it was 1/30.
The irrational lust for Lana's services has depressed wages and prices to the point where bonus gold is far far more important than wages for most players. Never before has it been so easy to do so much damage.
I will admit that the player who wishes to hoard money for their own selfish reasons will not like this economy. To bad. For the player who wishes to help their country, who wishes to fight for power, glory, and fun - this is a golden age. It's the most awesome economy we've ever seen.

Hmmm...never thought about it that way.
First allowed!
Put in a brilliant perspective. Bravo. 🙂
Amen brother.
Votato + Sub.
Woot and amen!
One Eye's keen grasp of game mechanics never ceases to amaze me.
One Eye knows all.

Wait...whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Well said, bro
I remember when i started playing +7 skill workers could earn 0.5g per day but now...
I remember earning 1g per day. I still couldn't buy as much stuff then as I can now. It remains true that for players who wish to do damage, this is the best economy we've ever had. For players who wish to selfishly hoard gold it's the worst.
Team players > selfish players
so....
This is the best economy ever.
Be a team player and send me some GOLD, eh?
Ha! Good article though.
You're cool, v + s
I knew this was coming, in that I knew there was only so much people could say that this is a bad economy when simply looking at changes in relative prices of things. I have been looking at this as giving players value for their gold. Wage parity is what happens when company space is not at a premium. I haven't bothered to replace dead workers I grabbed 2 7-skill workers for 5 USD. I wish to selfishly hoard gold but that is hard to do with game franchise business. Voted hard with some orgs and subbed. Best economy ever! This economy is in rank up mode. I do not endorse any purchases or donations other than what people consider fun but that is the dirrection the economy is choosing to facilitate more than it ever has.
Well yeah, you get more for gold. Real wages are still lower in many places though. :/ Oh well. That said, I do remember when q1 food was selling for 0.01 USD. And grain was 1 USD per RMU. V1 lol.
I can't believe you guys STILL don't understand the mechanics of underconsumption. Blame Lana? Please. Lana has nothing to do with it.
votado
Exactly how I've been looking at it. Too bad admin likes to screw HARD WORKING citizens like me out of their rightfully earned gold. /me goes into angry rant over days lost 😛
Ilu OneEye.
One Eye knows all. X2
the mechanics of underconsumption... consumables go on sale prices. I think he mentioned that part.
Solid
I voted. One Eye speaks truth.

"I can't believe you guys STILL don't understand the mechanics of underconsumption. Blame Lana? Please. Lana has nothing to do with it."
Throwing ~20000G in the air every day has nothing to do with the economy? Please.
bad wages & unprofitable companies = boring game for new players
boring game = bad retention
bad retention = net loss in eUS damage
OneEye has once again ignored the human factor in all of this. If no one is left playing, it doesn't mater how many guns the remaining few can buy. People are selfish and will horde, and no amount of scolding will change that. Any military/economic plan based on altruism is doomed to failure.
@Andra:
No, One Eye has ignored the factor of stupid humans.
Smart humans will see reason for what it is. This economy lets newbies fight more, do more damage, and travel more. It lets new players have more fun.
Perhaps you liked it better a year ago when a Q1 weapon cost 20USD and a skill 4 worker earned 10 USD.
This economy is better.
