The Belgian Question: An Analysis

Day 861, 16:08 Published in Netherlands Pakistan by Katharos45

Belgium has been a subject of debate for several months now. Around a year or so ago, both Belgium and the Netherlands were unified under one flag, as The United Netherlands, or UNL for short. However, on October 23rd 2009, Seal Team 6 ‘Liberated’ Flanders from the Netherlands. Since then, Belgium has never been fully part of the Netherlands, although most Belgians still reside in the Netherlands. For a few months, Belgium was under the rule of ‘The Group’, Eden members who had taken Belgium over for their own purposes. Later, The UK attacked Belgium, and The Group, seeing that they did not need Belgium, let them take it. However, when Poland and Spain Attacked France and Germany, they took over the regions, seeing that they were to be a thorn in their side for the impending attack on Britain, and they were easy to take, as Mpps would not be activated.

Later, Poland and Spain Rwed their regions, once again Belgium was on the map. It then became a political battleground between eBelgians, who supported wanted the best for the country, and PTOers, who claimed to be Belgian and that they wanted the best for Belgium. Now, each side has around 50% of congress, while the President is Belgian. Now we ask the question: Do we attack Belgium and risk attracting attention to ourselves, but can rid it of Eden? Or do we assist them financially and politically in claiming back their country the slow way? I say we should look at the Pros and Cons of each Scenario.

The first Scenario would certainly be the more risky of the two. We risk bringing attention to ourselves from Eden, and even if we succeed we could easily lose them to Poland or Spain, as the Game would not read these as original regions, just as the UK lost them. So this scenario looks less likely. However, a successful venture, although a gamble, could spur activity levels in the Netherlands, as well as boosting Morale and training many politicians who cannot leave their posts. We would lose money from this, but if we could coordinate baby boom advertisements at the right time, we could get a small baby boom from this. However, the whole concept of this scenario is held up by ‘ifs’, so this one would be the less likely and more costly one.

The second scenario would be slower, and would not bring the same kind of activity that the First scenario would. However, the second scenario would certainly be the safer of the two. It is already at work, as the Belgians have finally got half the congress, while talks with ‘the group’ are underway. There are also talks about giving Belgians money to get the economy of Belgium going. This would make them more self-sufficient, and also attract Belgians to the game. This scenario, however, would be slower than an all-out attack. This scenario would certainly be in Belgium’s best interests, unless the Belgians have something else in mind.

My opinion is that each Scenario benefit’s a different party. The first scenario benefits more the Netherlands, with the prospects of more activity, more morale, and the chance of a baby boom, while the second Scenario will give Belgium it’s own nation, with a better economy, and the chances of it’s own baby boom. I say that for now we allow the Belgians to make their own decisions. If they want their own country, there is no point to force a merger on them. I say we help them out with making their new country and taking it back from EDEN. The Belgians have been our friends for a long time, and helped a lot in the government and Finance. I say we return the favour.

Thank you for your time.
