The Belgian Presidence




Dear Belgian citizens,

My last article was published ten months ago, at the period where I came back to Belgium after having been born in the UNL a sunny day of May 2009. I left the UNL while I was President to continue my work as a simple citizen and party member in Belgium, which freshly won its independence.

But today, I come back to you to announce my candidacy for the Belgium presidency. Our country has been rebuilt from nothing and is still in construction, facing many different issues. Our last governments have done a great work, and I’m now willing to contribute at the highest level to continue their work.

I have been several times party president, congress member, minister, President, alliance representative, and I’m a quite experienced player. I have learned to work with a lot of people, and to respect the opinions of each one. I have a great respect for democracy, and I do consider the Congress as the most important office in a country, especially in Belgium, which is a small nation, and where we do need the contribution of everybody to lead our country to higher levels.

My party, the Belgium for Belgians party, has won the last congressional elections, but we didn’t want to propose a presidential candidate without the consent of another party, to be sure to represent the interests of every Belgian.

That’s why talks have begun with the Res Belgica party to reach an agreement. The RB provided our current President, MaryamQ, and as a member of her government, I had the opportunity to discover how she worked, and how we could be a complementary team. If I’m elected, I will work very closely with MaryamQ, and she will be appointed as “Prime Minister”, the head of our government.

A President have many different tasks and missions, and it’s often difficult to be efficient in every domains. With my qualities, and the qualities of MaryamQ, with me as President and MaryamQ as Prime Minister, I do believe that Belgium will be in a better position to solve its problems.

MaryamQ and I will work as a real team on every subject, but each of us will be in charge of different areas, projects or issues.

If I’m elected as President, we will have some priorities for the next month :
- to continue our diplomatic work with our different partners in the eWorld.
- to strengthen our military.
- to launch the debate and the vote on the revision of the Constitution.
- to improve our welfare program for new citizens.
