The (baby) face of revolution

Day 2,703, 06:59 Published in Australia Canada by Ilene Dover

Well, what an eventful day! As of about 6:45 gametime (21:45 here in WA) we eAustralians have overthrown our Polish/Spanish dictator XenthuS. As long as I've been in this game, I have gotten along well with JackTrout - one of the chief architects of the revolution. Before today, one of men with the most squeaky clean and baby-faced innocent reputation I knew

On account of how terrible his own explanation is, I asked him a bunch of questions. The answers are here for all to see - make of it what you will.

It is hard to keep a revolutionary plot secret, but judging from some of the commentary from Congress members and other cabinet members, it looks like you've pulled it off. How long as this been simmering away?

The first PM of the decision between Pr3zzy and I was 15 hours before I received your interview questions. So it happened quickly.

That would put it about 24 hours ago. Obviously pr3zzyy was privy to the decision, since his military unit pulled the trigger. Who else was in it from the start?

Yep. That’s it.

Oh, wow! How did you come to be the face of the rebellion then?

I can only suppose because I started it. Although Prez got to push the button, it’s his MU after all.

What has triggered the revolution today? Why not yesterday, or last week? Or the 4th of July?

Most of the bigger badder countries already had a lot on, so it seemed like there would not be so much interference on either side. There were other things potentially happening that also made it seem like a good time. Plus if you want a war, 10 x BH is a great day to get a lot of fighters.

Sounds reasonable, in a crazy-logic kind of way. Did you bring in some hired help from overseas then? Anyone like the International Democratic Army (IDA), for example? I saw at least a handful of those guys fighting...

Not IDA specifically, because I think they finally believed me that our country was divided on the revolution. But some of their individual people and MU’s were great. They are too many to thank properly.

Some highlights: We had awesome help from PilotPhil and his Bear Cavalry—they are champions of democracy, I don’t even think they took any CO’s (and in fact helped pay for some). And MEK came and put on immense damage both early and late in the piece, for the really pitiful CO’s we finally got up. I haven’t really looked at the stats yet, but I hope both of those MU’s scored big on BH. If I ever get rich I’ll have to throw a party for them.
😃

I think you might have to hit up your co-conspirator for that. He made out like a bandit with Div 1 Battle Hero medals, and may well have taken out the Div 1 Campaign Hero to boot. Speaking of money... Where did you find the money to kick things off? Are you going to have an awkward question when your wife goes to balance the MasterCard account?

No one has ever accused me of having that kind of cc. : ) I put in some, Prez put some more, our friends got us to the 200k mark, that was it.

Onto domestic matters - how do you feel knowing that none of the other military units supported your bid? Not the Knight Hawks, PeaceWalker or the ADF. Or anyone, for that matter...

Actually Peace Walker supported it, but they missed the deadline to sign up to support, so they had to fight for S.Q.U.A.D. It’s not like we gave anyone a lot of time to get organized. Not everyone is going to be ongame (or keen) at the moment when you say, “Hey, great time for a revolution.”

Will RustyD be staying on as CP? You're only an impeachment away from being President yourself. Your personal influence has probably never been higher with Congress than right now, certain vocal members perhaps notwithstanding

Rusty as CP, I hella hope so, followed by Rusty as dictator. I feel like crap for what he’s gone through with this, which is totally unfair to him. It makes me wonder why some people are so ready, first, to make that kind of totally unfounded accusation, and second, to believe it.

And finally, an easy one. It's been a long day for everyone. What next?

I have to go to work.

Well, there you have it. From his own mouth nonetheless. It's going to be an interesting week, that's for sure!
