The Alamo Held the Second Time Around

Over 170 years ago, the Alamo was captured by the Mexican Army after a fierce standoff that resulted in the death of almost every defender of the Alamo. Yesterday, we were faced with a similar situation as Indonesia attacked Texas. However, the second time around, the Alamo held off the attackers and pushed the Indonesian invaders out of Texas. This morning, they decided to try again. When will they learn - you don't mess with Texas!
Yesterday, overall, was actually a fairly good day militarily as we won three of the four battles on US soil. Texas, Arkansas, and Maryland were saved from occupation, while Wyoming was lost only a short time ago. Indonesia was beaten back in both the battles they initiated. Is this a sign that they are running low on steam? We can definitely hope so, for once they do, we can take the offensive and start reclaiming lost ground.
Today is also the presidential elections around the world. In the United States, we have a five way race between incumbent President Harrison Richardson, Secretary of State Emerick, UIP Party President Joshua Hoss, CVP Party President Ajay Bruno, and URP Party President Chris Maliwacki. It is going to be a very close race amongst the top three contenders. Don't forget to vote today.

it is a little bold to start attacking just because of a little slow down in their progressions.
because if it is, in fact, because of elections then we will have run into a trap set by our own ignorance... pretty much
but i am glad to see we have protected three of our states.
Didn't PEACE retreat 2 of those battles so that they could re-open them? Let's not think we're out of the woods by any means. We still have a long way to "protect" our assets in the eUSA.
Cerebus- the retreated them because otherwise they would have used them.
It's an unfair use of game mechanics, but we've just got to find a way to turn it around and use these same mechanics against them.
I think everyone should fight in Ontario. That's the last Canadian region and thus a lot more important than Texas.

Open battle and suddenly retreat, Peace want to waste your resource and damage. Imagine for wall 300k wasted, and Peace still not attacking seriously.
Well there is nothing we can about that tactic ... if we *don't* build the wall, then they will just tank it and take it. This particular game mechanic is particularly harsh - so long as they can keep paying the gold, they can keep using this [bogus, IMHO] mechanic.
I'm glad that at least my hometown wasn't taken over by Indonesia. Everyone could certainly take back D.C. if we tried hard enough. Let's give it our best and beat the opposition senseless!

They are doing some heavy tanking in Texas right now. They want it bad and they are going to spend the gold to try and get it this time around, so we need maximum effort to prevent that from happening. Figh on America!

I guarantee you this, they won't be retreating from Texas this time, so a stop here again and they will be weaker.

I know the DoD doesn't like other people giving out orders, but I think it's pretty darn obvious that, due to how expensive it is for Indonesia to keep attacking, we need to defend Texas right now. Again.

Things have gone hot again.
Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Maryland are all being attacked. That means PEACE is attacking 5 regions simultaneously. If they get Texas, they get the last of our major states. If they seize Maryland, it puts right next to one of our two remaining Q5 hospitals. Once New Jersey falls, all we have left is Florida.
If Texas falls, our economy will collapse for good and we will have one hell of a time funding this current war let alone any future RWs.

I think there was a woman and 2 children that survived the attack on the alamo... if one deserted that is news to me.
