Today I came across a statement of intent from a member of Poland's congress. He threatened to start a debate on his country's possible exit from ONE if certain other member states of the alliance signed non-aggression pacts with EDEN powers. This article isn't trying to stir that particular hornets' nest, so hold your storm of protest please, ONE zealots. 🙂

What interested me more was this character's boast that he was one of the architects of Poland's withdrawal from EDEN. So his illustrious career involved spying and sabotage in EDEN HQ, manipulating his population into ditching its alliance once, and threatening his current alliance with a repeat performance. I am sure he is a lone voice among most Polish players who are happy with ONE, which led me to wonder what exactly the wider Polish community had against EDEN all that time ago.

We've recently seen some conflict in the oldest surviving alliance, with tensions sparked by moves by eTurkey to join the alliance, opposed by many in eBulgaria. Some accuse me of being blindly pro-EDEN, which in truth is totally unfair. While I fervently believe that Bulgaria's place is in EDEN, I can see both sides in this disagreement, and I at least partially understand some Bulgarian players' motives for wanting to redefine their relationship with EDEN. The Polish case is less comprehensible for me.
Some time ago a famous leaked conversation spread like wildfire, of leading players from Poland meeting with their Serbian and Hungarian contemporaries. This was the tentative beginning of the Polish/Spanish break from ONE, and Serbia and Hungary's effective dissolution of Phoenix. In it, a Polish player confessed that the difficulty in tearing Poland from EDEN would be the affection most Polish players felt for Croatia. Croatia has always had a reputation (deserved or not) of being fiercely loyal allies, caring little for their own regions and giving their all for their friends.

So my question for the Polish (and I suppose the Spanish players, though I had the impression they followed Poland's lead) is simple: What happened? Was it simply the selfish manipulations of the wretched cabal which poisoned you against your former friends in EDEN? Was it genuine grievances with EDEN HQ which alienated you from the wider population of EDEN players? Did you stop caring about loyalty to the Brotherhood through sheer boredom?
No trolling for once; I'm genuinely curious about a time of seismic change in this game's history.

Indeed it was cromanians bitching. You know, the same sh*t they're doing to Bulgaria but applied to us. Change Turkey for Brazil and you'll get an image of how it was.
For more detailed stuff, ask mikel_ahone, siddy or so about how they ignored us in HQ, made votations without our votes, made us waste a lot of gold in stupid battles for their own interests and so on...
Also, there were also cromanians in conversations about new rising alliances, betraying the USA, etc.
Brotherhood never existed. Just propaganda spread mostly by Croatia. To the public everything's "friendship", "sacrifice", etc. But when you look it from inside...
General populations influence nearly nothing, every country has a few opinion makers that spread that opinion out to other influential persons in that country and the public will agree with it.

We left because in that time we didn't like Romania : P and in the same time pro-Hungarian movement grown up, we refused useless mpp with Romania. And forcing our dearest Spain to deal with Brazil, come on...

BtW: You are doing same sh*t once more and you have almost destroyed your "beloved brotherhood" so don't even try to say that we are traitors. probably if Bulgaria leave EDEN you would call them traitors the day after without admitting that only one fail is Romania and Romanians politics.
It is, imo, unfair to Bulgaria to compare the current situation with Turkey, to the way that Poland left EDEN.
Bulgaria have genuinely not been treated fairly and it was all the fault of a HQ that went full retard and tried to force it's will on member nations that did not agree to what they are doing.
Poland left EDEN so they could join with Serbia and Hungary and create a situation where they would no longer have to care about non-superpower countries within their alliance, as there were none(till they got desperate)

Believe or not but methods of EDEN HQ hasn't changed during that time. Taht was the main reason we left.
Maybe, maybe not k0stek. But Polish situation was nothing like Bulgarian one, it's laughable that anyone can suggest that while keeping a straight face.

Croatia got proposal to left EDEN with us but they have chosen Romania. According to our realtionships this would be huge problem but imho it's better to lsoe Romania + Croatia than get Romania back with 100%/100% bonuses and anything else you propose.
Since no Polish people like me (WHY I'LL NEVER KNOW), can someone Polish share this article with some other ePoles? I would like some more input from them.

Not true. When we were in EDEN we had almost the same position on the eWorld like we had in ONE. We left because Romania pissed us off since we created EDEN. It's worth to admit that they didn't wanted us in Atlantis, during in EDEN period we saw a lot of unpleasant things. Did you know that Romania suspended her membership in EDEN just because EDEN didn't agree to concentrate all of the forces to push Romania through Iran to Asia?
It's a game, we are supposed to have fun here, being in the same alliance with Romania wasn't fun xD
EDEN if you need damage - kick Romania and invite Poland.

USA , then Poland & Spain, then Sweden, then B&H and then Australia felt that EDEN was ignoring them, and frequently blamed EDEN for being too Romania-centric.

The answer to that is in fact, Yes. That was the main motive of the people who took the lead on it, and they admitted as much themselves, so there is not any point in trying to deny that now.

I should introduce myself. Now im polish MoFA for eden&terra community. One year ago i was one of the first to say "no" for leaving ePL from EDEN. Also, as supreme commander of Red Cat Army i ordered this MU to fly away from Poland to Croatia. So i will speak not for proCroatia polesand not for proONE.
As far as i remember, one of the most dangerous emotion occured. Boredom. Unending Romania-Hungary wars and complete economy resources. POlish society grove bored and wanted to change something. But it was done by the worst (in my opinion) way - by destroying all connection with our allies.
Look now Thatcher.Who started to complain and now is talking about leaving ONE? Its the same guy, who 1 year ago trolled Bogdan L. And because of this, Bogdan said some words which shouldn't be said. Group of guys in power (famous 'i need polish society to like croatia a bit less) made great propaganda company and exposed every antagonisms between EDEN and ePoland, to convince society to leave EDEN. We wanted croatia to go with us, but as you said, and i know it very well - croatia will never betray its ally. And simply its impossible to make allaine with serbia and croatia, like alliance with romania and hungary.
Yes, we wanted to leave eden and make change in game to make it more interesting. But we done it in the worst way.
Not from ottoman times, Nagy Lajos was king of Hungary and Poland more time before the ottomans even reached our borders.I understand why romanians didnt remember it because they didnt even exists that time.
