Thanks Everyone For All the Votes.....Oh Wait.

Day 555, 14:09 Published in Canada Canada by Derek Harland

I came into the May 25, 2009 congress elections with a smile on my face and an open wallet, assuming that I would be re-elected into congress. Maybe my overconfidence backfired somehow, but at the end of the day I had received all of 1 vote. To add insult to injury, I was the 1 vote. Everyone in eCanada decided to not vote for me but instead vote for somebody else in Newfoundland and Labrador. I was disappointed to find out that no one in eCanada wanted to vote for me after I had strong support in my first congressional election. I guess my cockiness and brash was my fault.

Another reason for my lack of votes is probably because I was running in Newfoundland and Labrador which has a massive population of 96 citizens. Trenton Rendell was kind enough to let me run in the CSD but only if it was for Newfoundland and Labrador since no one else was running there. So a likely reason for the fact I didn't receive one vote is because I am in a very sparsely populated province even though I did vow to get the province a higher quality hospital. So I am not mad at anyone and this is not meant to be a rant article. I was just curious as to why I didn't receive one vote. On a more positive note, a huge congratulation to everyone who was voted into congress and I hope they do an amazing job. There is certainly a lot of things at hand right now and they will be in for an important month in eCanada history.

Something to make me feel a lot better about myself after this crushing loss would be if everyone voted for my article and subscribed to my paper, it would make me feel a lot better.

On a side note...

Have any loose change lying around?

Then donate to the Democratic Action League Charity to help all citizens with funding to get by in their first couple of weeks in a whole new world. We accept any donations and we are always extremely appreciative of a donation. This has been brought to you by the vice-president of the Democratic Action League (yes, I am vice-president now 😛.)

Vote the article, subscribe to my paper, donate to the DAL Charity and have a great Thursday evening!
