Join the new world

First of all I'd like to thank everyone that voted for me in Palawan 😃 It's great to be serving in Congress again, and I look forward to moving forth with all the other congressmen into the new ideas and plans we have slowly been forming. Special congratulations for my friend Keegan Knoll who is serving his first congressional term here in the Philippines 🙂

However, this term could very well be much more exciting than simply winning the local elections! On our wonderful voting day, I was approached by my Party President, Prince Terence II, to discuss the possibility for running for the Presidency. I was flabbergasted--I hadn't even remembered mentioning it to him--but extremely honored. It has always been a eDream of mine to even run a campaign, and I am excited to announce that I have accepted the proposal and will be running for the high office of President of the Philippines.

As we've seen in the latest eRepublik Insider, Presidential Elections this time are going to be a bit different, and first I'm going to explain how this makes the ePh campaign more difficult than it has to be.

1. Population -- ePh's population has been on the slide lately, most probably due to the multiple RL crises shaking the country. I find it hard to want to push an online game to the population while people are getting murdered and washed away in storms.

2. GDP -- This is the brightest star, though not an easy one, just the same. We are working on a stimulus package in Congress right now [Actually just cast my vote as was writing this section.], so there is still hope, it's just going to be difficult to pull off. I personally believe in more government control--I have a few ideas on this I will expand at a later time.

3. Military Occupation -- Even this is hard to pull off. We live in tough times for eAsia, and we must be prepared for any eventuality, even partial occupation.

So, as you can see, it's going to take a bit of research before I put in any particular goals for my campaign, but be assured that we won't go through my entire term without anything to strive towards 😉

Brief Policy Overview

Economy -- I endorse a firm government hand in the economy. I will be outlining this in much further detail in the future 🙂

Security -- Congressman Keegan Knoll and I are working out a contract for all positions that involve the control of government orgs and companies--this is something we have lacked for a long time, and I'm glad to move forward with this.

Foreign Affairs -- Solmaxxx! I will continue to work within Sol as a Vizier, Cabinet Official, and a Representative. Sol holds the keys to the true future of eAsia [Possibly the eWorld], and it would be very foolish to not want to continue advancing it. Currently going global!

Wargames -- They are a lifeblood to the ePhilippines: I will continue to work with Malaysia and the Filipino Congress to keep going as long as it is possible for the two of us.

Thanks again, everyone! It is a great honor to even be considered for this office 🙂 I will strive to meet and exceed any expectations, for we do have the ability to be truly great.
