Guerrilla Radio News Corp Presents:
Thank You

Dedicated to the memory of my Nan
May 18th 1916 - March 27th 2011

If you have shared another's load,
or eased another's pain,
If you have soothed a troubled soul,
life has not been in vain.

If you have cheered another's heart,
or made a sad face smile,
If you have calmed another's fear,
your life has been worthwhile.

If you have said a tender word,
or dried another's tears,
If you have spread your share of love,
then you have been needed here.

If you have lent a helping hand,
through time of care and strife,
If you have done a little good,
you've made the most of life.

This poem was read out at around 3:15 this afternoon in Slough Crematorium. I was there with my family and I was filled with memories when I heard these words.

These memories come from a small selection of different people who have, at various times, helped me with whatever problems I have faced and cheered me up when I was feeling down.

These people range from my mum, to a friend who lives in US who I met camping 2 years ago, to someone in this small community.

This person doesn’t have to be named as I’m sure they know who they are, as sure as I am that you could all probably guess if given the chance. It’s not necessarily what they said, often it was just the knowledge that they would be there to say it if I needed them to, but I thank them all the same.

But it’s not only this one person I need to thank. Although I don’t always get along with everyone, the simple knowledge that I could always count on pretty much anyone here to help me if I needed them has got me through a lot.

So I thank you all. You are amazing.
