Thank You UKRP - From One Vision

Day 1,982, 16:26 Published in United Kingdom Norway by Major Lee Hung

This election, UKRP is allowing both One Vision and Worker's Rights Party to run under its banners for congress. This is a great move for these small parties, and a big leap for the community.

Answers

Many are questioning why we refused New Era's offer of pretty much guaranteed congress seats, in favour of a risky run under UKRP. This is simple - we believe in more than simply the congress seats. For months we've been at odds with UKRP over previous disagreements, often clashes in ideology. The 'Give away' culture vs the strength of solid policies and a community-driven party. This forced us on to one of the 'sides' present in our community.

We've since realised that this isn't the direction we wanted the party to go in. We wanted a party with a real community, a party with an image of helping - not a party using wealth to muscle existing parties and depriving them of opportunity. This was unhealthy for the eUK, and we've since stopped all supplies to party members.

We did this heeding the advice of a party often viewed as our main rival - the UKRP. It was they who had lengthy discussions with us about their grievances on the matter. Since taking this advice and phasing in a New Vision, we've taken the following steps:
-Members are no longer supplied by either me or Alfagrem with money or weapons.
-Recruitment messages have been limited solely to those who aren't new and we believe to still be deciding on a party.
-Relations are being solidified with other parties.

The Road Ahead

Nobody can hide from history - it's what builds the future. What we are aiming to do is set ourselves a new image rather than hoping our past just fades away. We've admitted to our mistakes made during the building of One Vision, Mistakes that can only be put right by putting the country first. After all, the party was founded to benefit the new players of the community - many of which have progressed on to other parties, just as I had envisioned.

The following are still in the pipeline:
-Our strong core is being strengthened every day by community building initiatives.
-I will begin moving towards setting up a central help entity to provide new players with weapons, and will do community give aways on behalf of One Vision. Donations will soon begin to the eNHS, and I'm looking for ideas on ways I can help the new players of the eUK.

A Thank You to UKRP

Now the explanations are over, time for the main part of this article! Thank you to UKRP for putting old rivalries behind us. We hope this is the start of a strong friendship between our parties. Much of our new direction is based on the talks I had with various UKRP members a few months ago. I thank you all for the continued advice and support, and we look forward to working closely in the future for the betterment of the eUK.

No matter how the congress elections go tomorrow, this is the start of a new bridge built between our parties and we'll always offer whatever support we can to the members of the UKRP.

The UKRP continues to this day to be a strong influence on the aspiring parties of the eUK. No matter what party you're from, and no matter how strong the rivalries, it's difficult not to respect such a party.

Thanks again,
Joshua Whelan
