TERRA/EDEN gains leverage

Day 1,646, 21:56 Published in USA USA by Dbsndust

Today, ONE was soundly defeated in both of their efforts to assault the US.

In case you missed it,
The Hungarian attack on Aquitaine was successfully defended.
The sudden spike in Spanish resistance in Asturias was abated.

Currently, it seems that ONE strategy is directed at the US economy, despite the fact that TERRA/EDEN would never allow the capture of Aquitaine, Asturias, or Baja.

Prior to this battle, I was curious as to why Hungary was feeling so confident despite losing its home territories. As it turned out, Hungary was quite greedy and as such stands to lose greatly. With strong, focused allied effort, Hungary could be entirely wiped by surgically-placed resistance wars and US offense. This, however, depends on continued opposition in Canada and Ireland to the reemergence of the UK. I am, unfortunately, unsure as to why Ireland would risk Polish aggression by attacking Denmark.

Meanwhile, it appears that Austria has been partitioned between Poland and Croatia, albeit probably despite the intentions of either nation. The two nations, eager to fight each other, pummeled through Austria, continuing the historic trend of the poor, neutral nation being subjected to outside wars.

Greece and Turkey have made incredible turnarounds during the past week, initially losing their original regions and then reconquering all of it and more. Mainly through their efforts in preoccupying ONE resources, ONE has been unable to continue to put pressure on our allied nations.

The big winners these past few days:
China, for rescuing Columbia, eliminating Venezuela, and poising itself for a European incursion.
Colombia, for dividing and conquering Mexico.
Portugal, for returning with a vengeance.

Good day USA, and don't forget to vote!
