Taking a Step Back

Day 838, 11:27 Published in USA USA by Lieutenant Scheisskopf

Hello, all. I apologize for my unexplained absence this past couple of weeks, and believe you all deserve an explanation. My real life schedule has picked up, and by extension, I have temporarily lost interest in the game. Rather than leaving eRepublik permanently, I am simply taking a break to focus on RL while also recharging my enthusiasm for eRepublik. My hope is that after being less active for a little bit, I will be ready to come back and interact with you all when my schedule lets me return to my normal activity levels.

You are reading this message, presumably, because you have subscribed to my newspaper. I would like to thank you all very much for reading my thoughts and analyses for nearly 9 months and hope you will be there for more in the future. You and your feedback have made playing this game everything it has been for me, and you have been the source of some great friendships in-game. To know that I have made an impact-- whether positive or not-- on the gaming experience of over 4000 eRepublik citizens worldwide is an amazing feeling, and one which I do not take for granted. I never wrote to become a Media Mogul or to become an international figure, but thank you for these honors.

This is why I have not written nearly as much these past few weeks. I would not want my decreased interest to adversely impact the quality of my paper, or the confidence you have placed in me. I assure you that when I am reenergized, my writing will continue and the articles you have come to expect from me will return to the eRepublik media. This is not my last article, and I hope you will stay tuned for when I do return 🙂.

Again, this is not me saying goodbye or quitting eRepublik. I intend to remain an officer in the eUS Airborne, to still be around the IRC channels, to be responsive to any PMs that I may receive, and to provide any advice that may be asked of me. However, I am sad to say that I will not be able to hold a position in PigInZen's administration, and will not be able to provide my traditional news updates while I am on my self-imposed break.

You have not heard the last from me; that I promise you. I hope you will remain subscribed so that you do hear from me next time.
