Taking A Little Break From The Game (Or At Least Reduced To Two-Clicking)

Day 1,664, 10:54 Published in USA USA by JakeLeonard

Due to some unforeseen events that have come forth in the past few weeks, I might not be near as active as I usually am in this game.

Just two weeks ago, ClearChannel Communications, the owner of the radio station I was working at in St. Louis, had to cut some employees from the payroll due to corporate losses and I got the bad end of the stick.

Luckily, it didn't take long to get some new employment. As a matter of fact, didn't take long to get TWO jobs. Unfortunately, one job involves flying to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada three days a week and another involves driving to Chicago three days a week. Doesn't exactly give me much time to play this game.

My new job in Edmonton is for a social media network service called Empire Avenue. It somewhat treated like a social media stock market using fake currency called "eaves" to purchase in various users online. Your "stock price" is based on your activity on your blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, Foursquare, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+ and Flickr. I am contracted with the company until June 2014 to create some upcoming features for the site.

My new job in Chicago is for a professional wrestling organization known as Chikara Pro Wrestling. I will be assisting in scheduling events in the midwestern U.S. and central Canada for the next two years and will be assisting in what will be a regular yearly occurrence where Chikara fighters face off against wrestlers from Ring Of Honor Wrestling in an inter-promotional event known as Synergy.

(This doesn't even include that I will be serving as my younger brother's manager during his amateur MMA career starting June 23.)

What does this mean for me and my activity on eRep? Heavily reduced to two-clicker activity and the occasional voting.

I should break this news out as well.....starting in August, I will be working on the development team at MMA Tycoon to help improve the game. That might take even more time away from eRep, but fortunately, that is a telecommute job - no travel necessary.
