Tackling the Kiwi-Australian Crisis

Day 1,658, 19:59 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by Ivan Blair

Kia-Ora Kiwis,

Recent days have been dark on eNew Zealand, but we mustn't lose sight of our goal of uniting our nation again. Our usual threats in South America have teamed up with a surprise new ally against us: eAustralia. eBrazil, eArgentina, and eAustralia have, together, left eNZ in a state of total war. Our defeats have not been total, though, and we continue to fight in the hopes of further successes.

But, what will become of the emerging Kiwi-Australian Crisis?

There is a long history of ups and downs between the two Oceanic nations, but that history has always remained very unique to the region. Rather than being involved in the greater global conflicts between TEDEN and ONE, the eAustralian and eNZ Training Wars and Legitimate Conflicts have been conflicts left to the diplomacy of the two nations individually. Now, however, eAustralia has invaded not on its own, but in a coalition with eArgentina and eBrazil.

Many Kiwis feel betrayed by eAustralia, a nation that we've managed to coexist with rather well, even despite our diplomatic differences throughout our history. Our Minister of Information Oboacer has described eNZ sentiment well when he said;

"It need also be mentioned that our former "friends", eAustralia have shown their true colours and once the tides of eArgentina and eBrzil reached our part of the New World, their new government quickly showed a close affinity for them. As we have seen, they took no time in ganging up on us."

This blemish on the relations between eNZ and eAustralia will either take a lot of war or a lot of diplomacy to right. The eAussie Dept. of Information recently released an article in which he described his Government's hope of pursuing talks with eNZ to find a place for us in an Oceania/South America under eArgentinian control (Australian Department of Information). Interestingly, though, eAustralian objectives are not clear; What they hope to gain from an Argentinian-Controlled Oceania cannot be guessed at.

If cooperation in a neighborhood ruled by eArgentina vs. Continued War is truly the only ultimatum being offered for our nation from eAustralia, then we are placed in the bad position of having to continue the fight. eArgentina's aggression in South America and Oceania must be checked, and eNZ needs to continue to lead the resistance against them in the hopes that all of ONE and EPIC's forces will soon be free enough to assist us in the fight.

In the meantime, we must attempt to open diplomacy with eAustralia and make them realize that war for war's sake is not the path to follow. eArgentina has become an Imperial force and their entry into Oceanic affairs spells the same doom for eAustralia as it does for eNZ. eAustralia needs to be reminded that the best protection of their sovereignty is coexistence, and perhaps even cooperation, with its neighbors. More importantly, if eAustralia fails to understand, eNZ will continue to fight with every bit of strength we have and we will not be going anywhere.

(This is not a question of the integrity of any individuals involved in the Diplomacy of the nations discussed, but a Nationalistic and Opinionated Reflection and Argument on the matter by a Proud Kiwi.)
