Synopsis on the forms of “Well-care”. Part I

Day 510, 08:19 Published in Australia Australia by Alex Australis

I wanted to post this two days ago but I feared tempers were too hot to listen to reason at the time hence the delay on the matter. (Warning this will be long)

We all know a lot of issue’s were brought up in the debate over Private Vs Public health systems and thankfully it has been realized that just as in real life, the only solution is to have both systems and let them work hand in hand. Many people brought up flaws in both sides of the argument but from where I was standing; the larger issues were being missed.
I’d like to discuss them with you all now and hopefully generate a health-y (pun) discussion on them.

Where both fail

I’ve made it known that I don’t support the current system as I believe it fails to help those that are truly in need, the levels 1-6 demographic. The current system looks at those who have worked for a certain period first to make sure they have earned the support of welfare in a justified attempt to curb over expenditure.

The Private scheme also fails to help the 1-4 through game mechanics are eCitizens cannot leave the country to fight in wars and in a lot of cases they still cannot quit their first job yet either.

What can we change?

We have just seen is that both systems by themselves, fail a certain demographic but what happens when we combine them and change the system slightly?

Let us say, the public system starts targeting level 2-6 with gifts (I can’t see food being a good idea as we all ready have a shortage of higher Q foods and a saturation of lower Q food in the market which is accessible to the new players).

We use level 2 because it means the player has at least logged in twice and worked twice which means they are now “productive” members of eSociety. With the help of eMedicare we can help boost their wellness and also give these new players a sense of community as eAustralian Society is helping them on their first few days.

These new eCitizens should be working for Q1 companies who for the most part do not have the same high profit margins as higher Q companies and therefore probably cannot afford to implement their own private scheme without increasing their prices which causes inflation.

Once the eCitizens have settled in and received their 5 gold they are then able to enter into the private scheme themselves or work for a higher Q company that might offer this as a salary package.

This alone should help with retaining new players that are coming into the game but leaving after putting it into the “to hard” or “boring” basket.
