Switzerland Shifts Toward ONE

Salut madams and monsieurs,

Over the past two weeks, there has been increased discussion over our current foreign policy. Clearly, neutrality was simply a short term transition for our nation, but now it is clear that Switzerland cannot remain as a neutral state forever. Seeing as nations from EDEN, TERRA, and ONE all desire passage through our land, it is difficult to continue accommodating to all their desires, even if we are able to receive some quick cash. And so, we have decided that it is best for Switzerland to choose a side, and that side is ONE. Although Switzerland will not join ONE, we will be an independent state which is aligned with ONE. What for you might ask? EDEN and TERRA have continued to reject our requests for Mutual Protection Pacts, therefore ONE has been the only nations to welcome our alliance proposals. By working with fellow ONE nations, Slovenia will thus have be more willing to sign treaties which are more beneficial to Switzerland.



And that is why over the past week, the Swiss government has been vigorously securing Mutual Protection Pacts with many nations around the world in order to increase our relations with ONE. So far, we have signed alliances with the following countries: Bulgaria, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Latvia, New Zealand, Peru, Slovenia, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. With these new friendships, we hope that Switzerland will be able to ensure a stronger system of allies to depend upon in the case of an emergency, and in addition, our nation will also be able to aid those nations who are in need. Now is the time for us to finally exit the tunnel of neutrality, with the light guiding our great nation toward friendship with ONE.
