Who am I?
I AM A CHAMPION!

A little bit about myself then. My name is Tomer, and I am almost 17 years old(young in erep standarts, old in eIsrael standarts).Real life speaking, II live in a town next to Tel Aviv. I am a highschool student in the 11th grade, studying Social Studies and Psychology. I have also finished my English matriculations exams 3 years earlier thanks to my Ausie roots. I’m a guide in a youth movement and a somewhat of social activist in the process- demonstating for worker rights etc.
Internetwise, I have been around the internet for as long as I can remember myself. Have been playing conutless number of FPS’s, RTW’s and MMO’s and spend countless number of hours on them, I am a proud nerd. or gamer. I prefer the term “Gamer”. I have also been through many gaming communites both in Israel and abroad and have managed several forums and communities on my own.

In eRepublik, I have been filling the roles of Minister of Interior, Quatermaster General, Founder and Manager of the current Translation team, and taking a part in the Minister of Foreign Affairs, my personal niche. I would gladly devote my hole energy into the ministry of Foreign Affairs but I was needed in other places.



And now theres Sidewinder, an army general, diplomat,politician. I keep referencing real life... well, erepublik is a wonder social experiment. It’s a wonderful mirror for the real life dynamics. Here we are, masters of our own fate, no old biased politicians to guide our country to doom. The country is ours, you would say. Each and every one of us can make a change. I’m a shining example of that- if you have what it takes you could find yourself doing great things in a glance. Amazing, isn’t it? no need to wait decades until you have a say,until you can make a change. Yet we still encounter many of the same problems we encounter in real life. I plan on politics in real life... and it seems I am already encountering the problem I would encounter in real life- how to get the people to believe in me? who should I pick to the cabinet? how can I stay true to myself without being a dirty politician? This are problems that I need to battle for a better eIsrael. And who knows? perhaps it would serve as a great prologue for a better Israel. We have the power to change, that boiling youth blood... as Martin Buber once sai😛
“The youth is mankind’s only chance for mankind.. and mankind is loosing that chance over and over.” Lets hope we don’t loose this one.



What do I stand for?
I stand for change. I’m that person who, for some reason, still believes he can change the world. Speaking in terms of both eRepublik and real life. The person that hears a punk song that calls for change and thinks, “That’s true! I can do that!”.I have always tried to be the best person as possible, you know, as they say- be change you want to see in the world. After being to Poland and seeing the extermination camps that burning desire to change and fix this world only went stronger. I stand for Tolerance. Understanding. Brotherhood. Friendship. Hope. Unity. Change. I stand for giving a chance to every single person.. I believe in every single person. I believe in us. I believe that we can change. both in eRepublik and in real life. this is what I stand for. Just like we should act in real life, we should act on eRepublik. United we stand, divided we fall. Marthin Luter King once said-
“We have learned to fly the air like birds, We’ve learned to swim the seas like fish, but yet we haven’t learned to walk the earth as brothers and sisters.”



[u]Why am I running?
[/u]There is a famous saying that goes, “If you want anything done right, do it yourself”. Apprently this is the case nowdays. Also speaking both erep wise and rl wise.

I think we all know the faults and the misfunctions of the current government. The UAE war could have ended much more badly if it werent for a several few great people who took care of our country- some of them are Joel177, yuvy15, hadorban, GNEFCZ, bloodger and myself.

But it seems we are heading the same way. the same people that were in command of eIsrael for the last months are planning to still hold the parts although it is obvious to all of us that they cannot do the job. I am running because I believe that I can do the job. I can bring that fresh young blood that we need here in eIsrael and take care of the hole mess that was made in the last month.




Where am I running from?
I am running independently. on my own. There isn’t any political party that I can really relate to and proudly say that I am running from it. I plan on changing that, but that’s for another time.
Since the game mechanics do not allow me to run independetly, I will be running from Haihud Haleumi.



What am I hoping for?
I am hoping for a better, stronger eIsrael. My most precious hope is that the people of eIsrael will vote with their hearts and minds- read platforms, judge by logical criterions - and then the best man will be elected for CP. I am hoping that people wont let their party leaders to force them into voting the candidate which sold the most cabinet places for the party (you know what i’m talking about) and that the people will keep their independent voice. I hope that every single voter will read BOTH of the platforms of me and ArikAharon and will decide only afterwards.

Also, winning cp elections could be nice.



Who am I running with?
You will have to wait on see. I plan on posting the Cabinet before the elections as it seems only fair that you know who you are voting for.

מי אני?
אני אלוף!

אופס.טעות במאמר..
אז על רגל אחת נדבר עליי. קוראים לי תומר ואני כמעט בן 17(צעיר בסטדנדרטים של אירפבליק,זקן בסטנדרטים של אי-ישראל). קצת על חיי מחוץ למחשב,אני גר בעיר ליד תל אביב. לומד בתיכון בכיתה י"א ומרחיב סוציולוגיה ופסיכולוגיה. בנוסף לזאת סיימתי את הבגרות שלי באנגלית לפני שלוש שנים תודות לשורשים האוסטרליים שלי. אני מדריך נוער וגם סוג של פעיל חברתי בהתהוות – נוהג להפגין בעד זכויות עובדים ושאר נעליים.
לגבי האינטרנט, ובכן,אני באינטרנט מאז שאני זוכר את עצמי. שיחקתי אין סוף משחקי יריות מגוף ראשון,משחקי אסטרטגיה ומשחקי רשת המוניים ובזבזתי מספר שעות עצום עליהם,כן כן אני חנון גאה.או גיימר. אני מעדיף את הכינוי גיימר האמת. כמו כן עברתי בהרבה קהילות גיימינג בארץ ובעולם וניהלתי מספר פורומים וקהילות בעצמי.
באירפבליק מילאתי בעבר את תפקידי שר הפנים, אחראי אפסנאות ראשי בצבא ומייסד ומנהל משרד התרגום במתכונתו הנוכחית. בנוסף לזאת אני לוקח חלק במשרד החוץ,הנישה האישית שלי. בשמחה הייתי מקדיש את מירב כוחותיי למשרד החוץ אך הייתי נחוץ במקומות אחרים.



ועכשיו,סיידווינדר-מצביא צבאי,דיפלומט,פוליטיקאי. נשמע כמו נשיא לעתיד במדינה במציאות לא? כמו שעוד תשימו לב אני אאזכר רבות במאמר את החיים האמיתיים.ו והאמת? אירפבליק הוא ניסוי חברתי נהדר. זהו מראה אמיתי לדינמיקה בחיים האמיתים כי פה כמו בחיים האמיתיים אנחנו אדונים לגורלנו,אין פוליטיקאים זקנים ומוטים שיובילו את המדינה שלנו לחורבן. המדינה הזאת היא שלנו וכל אחד ואחד ממכם יכול לעשות שינוי ואני היא דוגמה חיה ובועטת לכך. מדהים,לא? אין צורך לחכות עשרות שנים כדי שתהיה לכם השפעה, כדי שתוכלו לשנות. אך עדיין אנחנו פוגשים את אותן הבעיות שאנחנו פוגשים במציאות. אני מתכנן לגשת לפוליטיקה בחיים האמיתיים ויש לי את ההרגשה שאני כבר נתקע בבעיות שאני צפוי להתקע בהם במציאות. איך לגרום לאנשים להאמין בי? את מי לבחור לקבינט? איך להישאר נאמן לעצמי ואמיתי מבלי להיות פוליטיקאי מלוכלך? אלה הן בעיות שאיתם אני צריך להתמודד בשביל שישראל תהיה מדינה טובה יותר.ואתם יודעים מה,מי יודע? אולי כל זה זה בעצם פרולוג לישראל טובה יותר. הכוח לשנות קיים בנו, בדם הצעיר והמבעבע הזה. כמו שמרטין בובר אמר: "הנוער הוא הסיכוי הנצחי לאושר של האנושות... וזו מאבדת וחוזרת ומאבדת אותו". בואו נקווה שלא נאבד גם את הצ'אנס הזה.



על אילו עקרונות אני נשען?

אני מאמין בשינוי. אני האיש הזה שמשום מה עדיין מאמין שהוא יכול לשנות את העולם. הן במימד של אירפבליק והן במציאות. האדם ששומע שיר Pאנק שקורא לקום ולשנות וחושב "נכון! גם אני חייב לקחת בזה חלק!". תמיד ניסיתי להיות האדם הכי טוב שאני יכול, כמו שנאמר-"תהיה השינוי שאתה רוצה לראות בעולם". אחרי שהייתי בפולין וביקרתיי במחנות ההשמדה... התשוקה העזה הזאת לשנות ולתקן את העולם רק גדלה. כי אז אתה מבין עד כמה המצב היום גרוע. ועד כמה אף אחד אחר לא יעשה כלום במקומך.

אני מאמין בסבלנות. הבנה. אחווה. חברות. תקווה. אחדות. אני מאמין בלתת לכל אדם הזדמנות ומאמין בכל אדם. אני מאמין בנו. אני מאמין שאנחנו יכולים לשנות הן באירפבליק והן בחיים האמיתיים. זה מה שאני מאמין בו. בדיוק כמו שאנחנו נוהגים במציאות כך אנו גם צריכים לנהוג באירפבליק. ביחד נשרוד לחוד ניפול. מרטין לותר קינג פעם אמר

"למדנו לעוף כמו ציפורים,למדנו לשחות כמו דגים, אך עדיין לא למדנו ללכת על האדמה כמו אחים ואחיות."

למה אני רץ?

יש פתגם מפורסם שאומר, "אם אתה רוצה שמשהו יעשה,עשה זאת בעצמך". למרבה הצער, הפתגם הזה מאוד נכון. הן באירפבליק והן במציאות.

אני חושב שכולנו מודעים לטעויות והתפקוד הלקוי של הממשלה הנוכחית שלנו. המלחמה עם איחוד האמירויות הערביות יכלה להגמר הרבה יותר רע אם לא מספר אנשים גדולים ששמרו על המדינה שלנו,חלקם הינם יואל177,יובי15,הדורבן,גנפז(דארקו),בלודג'ר ואנוכי עבדכם הנאמן.

אבל זה נראה שאנחנו הולכים באותו הכיוון. אותם האנשים שניהלו את ישראל בחדשים האחרונים עדיין מתכננים להחזיק בשליטה וזה ברור לכולנו שהם לא מסוגלים לעשות את העבודה כראוי. הרי ראינו כיצד טופלה ישראל בידיים כושלות בחודש האחרון ולאן זה הוביל אותנו. אני רץ מפני שאני יכול לעשות את העבודה. אני יכול להביא את הדם הצעיר הזה שאנחנו צריכים כאן בישראל ולטפל בבלאגן שנוצר פה בחודש האחרון.



מאיפה אני רץ?

אני רץ באופן עצמאי.לבד. אין שום מפלגה פוליטית שאני יכול בקלות להתייחס אליה ולהגיד בגאווה שאני רץ ממנה. אני מתכנן לשנות זאת,אבל זה כבר לזמן אחר. מאחר שמנוע המשחק לא מאפשר לי לרוץ עצמאית אני ארוץ מהאיחוד הלאומי.



למה אני מקווה?

אני מקווה לישראל טובה וחזקה יותר. התקווה הכי יקרה שלי היא שאזרחי ישראל יצביעו עם הלב והשכל,יקראו מצעים וישפטו אנשים לפי קריטריונים הגיונים ואז האדם הטוב ביותר יבחר להיות נשיא. אני מקווה שאנשים לא יתנו לנשיאי מפלגותיהם להכריח אותם להצביע למועמד מסוים אשר מכר את רוב מקומות הקבינט לאותה המפלגה(אתם יודעים על מה אני מדבר) ושאתם תשמרו על הדעה העצמאית שלכם. אני מקווה שכל אחד ואחד ממכם יקרא את שתי המצעים שלי ושל אריקאהרון ויחליט רק לאחר מכן.

אה כן, לזכות בבחירות לנשיאות גם יכול להיות נחמד.
